First of all you should write to the builder (R A d R) pointing out all the faults and any deviation from the devis/invoice. If he hasn't given you a detailed invoice then ask him to do so. In the meantime it would be a good idea to have an expert dealing in construction matters to give you a report on the quality of work and if it is as the devis/ invoice. Then you can send the builder a copy of the report and suggest you both get round the table with the Expert and start meaningfull discussions. Be very carefull about involving the law, it is always expensive and usually long (as in years). I never give "artisans" any money up front having been bitten once which is enough for me.

Why do you assume a uk reg car with no road tax is uninsured.

Is this a new activity, prowling around car parks examining uk reg cars for evidence of a current "tax disc". Is it a bit like train spotting? Is there any special dress code?  Do you really have to be terminally sad to do it or can anyone join in?

You cannot under any circumstance own a firearm for protection. Agreed it is not too difficult to have a firearm for hunting or sport shooting in France but that is how it should be. Firearms never harmed anyone it is people who harm one another. Firearms are no more dangerous than a motor vehicle. I have used and been in close proximity to firearms for more than thirty years and have never known one to jump up and harm anyone all on it's own. Remember "if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns."

I use a drain cleaning attachment on my Karcher. I find it always works. It is self propelling using reverse water jets which are pretty powerfull.

Ryanair are starting a service from Carcassonne to Frankfurt Hahn. It starts in may and the fares look pretty good.

Instead of banging your heads on something hard and getting angry, why not be a bit more positive and go out and make some dosh.

I was just pointing out that perhaps Pres obama may want to prove himself worthy of his position. I was under the impression that this was a discussion forum not a site to encourage mutual agreement. It would appear that anyone that does not have a fluffy view of life is labelled a "troll" whatever that means. Not everyone agrees with his so far published agenda and policies, to some they appear a little bit vague.

I am sure President B. Hussein Obama will do a great job in unifying the people of the USA, and pursue the islamic terrorists who have done so much damage, with great vigour.
