3. It is an organ of the French State that is checking on you. If you exterminate it you will be arrested forthwith.[6]
4. Do it on the British side and put the findings on a cattle truck straight back.
5. Not sure if it advertises your sort of place but try Immoweb for Belgium
6. Immigrants in Brid?  Even they could not cope with that. Or is that normal? Please specify RRE
7. Gendarme was way over the top to fine you. Just out to make money. [6]
8. You can write your own if it is dead straightforward. My notiare gave me a formula of words to be copied in longhand and signed.
9. yes i saw that. seems a very sensible thing to do.
10. Well, I did fone the tax office and they went higher to get advice and came back to me. The guy said he hadnt know it himself. And he was the CGT specialist
11. The 1789 French Revolution was by the middle classes for the middle classes, run by lawyers. Millions of people were slaughtered as a result including in my Département where Genocide was attempted. It increased the amount of corruption, if anything, and certainly did nothing whatsoever for the basic liberties we used to hold dear such as freedom of speech. France remains a centralized,  top-down managed, semi-command economy which will only evolve if power is taken away from Paris to the regions, leading to a degree of Federalism. And whoopsy, that was one of the main battlegrounds of the Revolution as Paris took all for itself and subjugated the regions. Remember, teachers and others have voted recently to remain part of the Paris based command structure. So where would you suggest they start, Jura?
12. If selling a second home, the rate of capital gains is 16% for non-French residents of the EU. According to my local tax office the social charge if not payable any more.

14. No. They have the right to what is provided and *** all else. Post edited by the moderators. Users must not post messages which: Contain explicit language or vulgarities (whether written in French, English or any other language)
15.
Isn't the right to strike written into the French constitution of whatever Republic it is now?  Am I right?  If so, I would contrast it with the American constitution's right to free speech.  Free speech surely speaks volumes more than striking?
Free speech is alien to the European governing mentality. Do not be kidded otherwise. Hell, Galileo was found guilty again the other day by yet another top down manager
16. That is naive. What matters is la Nation and putting people in their boxes for life because that gives stability. Hence the power of the public servant whom you should humour, nay help, by dealing with your kids in such a way as not to put on strain on them. This is the European model. Nappy started it, others are carrying it on.[6]
17. The limits of propriety forbid me from answering your offensive comment about the founding of the Church of England and the disbanding of the Roman lot. As well as other points you hint at. You were much more than answering RH's comment and you know it.[6]
18. Jura, go ahead and do it but I suspect you will end up in prison or seriously damaged as a strike breaker.
19. Anything like my ex and much hated mother-in-law goes on forever. Still, if she goes there will be Mafia like verification with a hot poker then a paaaaarrrrrty. And yes, she is a French speaker so this is relevant[6] We Bananas are the true Phoenixes  (pronounced feenix, not any other way, pleeze!)
