You could always try Futuroscope at Poitiers plenty of accommodation available -

If you are a resident and tax payer in France, you have the original receipts from a french registered company then why not.[:)]

Declaring income from UK Nationwide Building Society account

I should have added to my previous post that if you have a joint account and claim the tax refund via the R43 form then you both need to fill in a form, each claiming half the tax refund. -
If it's for the wood burner alone and not for the installation or the associated parts then yes. I am waiting for this years tax forms to arrive to claim my rebate. I believe that you must have the same company that you bought the appliance off to do the install and if you don't have tax to pay then expect a cheque in the post.[:D]

Declaring income from UK Nationwide Building Society account

"The R43 is not the form to use, that is only for claiming allowances if you are a non resident not tax already paid. However, there is a simple and legitimate way HMRC recommend to claim back tax paid in the UK." Sorry Ron but I have been using this form R43 for 5 years and it works fine, I get my refund of Tax in about 6/8 weeks from posting it off to Nottingham. Simple and legitimate[:D] -

You enter the gross interest from Nationwide, as soon as you receive notification of your interest from NW use HM Revenue & Customs form R43 to reclaim tax paid in the UK it's quite straight forward and usually a reasonably quick repayment. -

It's not going to be possible for you to register it, unless they register the car in France first.

The tread depth requirement for the main grooves is 1.6mm and must have visible tread all the way across the tyre, you can use the spare in an emergency with a reduced speed, even if it is not the same make or tread pattern as the other tyres on the car.

We could do with more weks like that[:)]

Go ahead and buy your tyres in Spain there are no issues with your Carte Grise, most garages in France ask for the Carte Grise to confirm the details for spare parts but there is no particular reason that a tyre company should ask for it.

Livebox software
gosub replied to expat paul's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
Sorry to disagree but the easiest way is NOT to start with the USB connection! To use the USB connection you have to instll the software and that is what can cause problems. The easiest way is to start with the Ethernet connect which needs no software. Simply connect the cable - it usually has RED plugs at either end, to your computer and the Livebox and then access the built is browser page to do the setup. You do this from Internet Explorer by typing into the address bar: 192.168.1.1, this will bring up the setup page, you may need a user name and password depending on the age of the Livebox (you may get a new style of an old style one) the default user name is admin and the passwod is admin. From there is it pretty self explanatory. HTH Tim
Who mentioned USB, I do agree about starting off using the ethernet cable. -
Netgear router.
gosub replied to Jonzjob's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
Your netgear may work instead of the livebox as a router but if you want to take the phone option with Orange, then as far as I know you will need to connect the phone through your livebox.
