1. Form 3916 is the one to declare foreign bank accounts, If you use this form you will need to complete one for each account that you have, or as suggested write the details of all your accounts on a sheet of paper and send them to the Impots.
2.

How does selling and buying work in france, do you have to have extra money available to give the deposit when signing the compris de vente (if that's not spelt right sorry) and what happens at the final signing, do you have to rush from one to the other, hope some-one understands what I'm getting at. Thankyou.
compris de vente is correct ;o)
Is it? how about Compromis de Vente[;-)]
3. I think it's a reasonable request, they need to know the funds are cleared before getting everybody together for the signing. Unless you are taking cash of course[:D]
4. Hi Jon Sounds like a good business you have, why not post on a few more forums ? I am sure there are lots of potential customers out there just waiting to hear from you[6]
5. This may be of interest to those who have Microsoft Word installed on their computer and want to convert numbers into words easily, very useful for writing French numbers if you have the French dictionary installed.   Open a new document and change the language if required. Press Ctrl+F9 then in the field that opens up; enter " = " then the number you want to convert, then "\*cardtext" without the quotes. then  press F9   Example: {=123456\*cardtext} then press F9 with the cursor still in the field   Result: (English) one hundred-twenty three thousand four hundred  fifty-six Result: (French) cent vingt-trois mille quatre cent cinquante- six

13. I have first hand knowledge of this, a friend who used to stay sometimes in a house I owned in France (this was in the 90's)  was called to go into his local tax office in the UK and they knew exactly the dates and number of times that he had traveled to France.

17. The red brick walls will take the weight  no problem, think about plasterboard walls, but you will need to fit the correct wall plugs for the mountings. During installation you can use a batten as you suggest to make things easier for yourself to mount the cupboards and keep them level, it can be removed afterwards.
18. What would be the advantages of transferring my very small UK self employed pension due to pay out this year, to a recognised QROPS in France? The only advantages I can see are, that I could take 30% as a lump sum and also I would receive  my pension payments in Euros, it appears that I could not withdraw the balance of the fund in cash because the new provider must ensure that 70% of my fund is used to provide an income for life. I found the following on HMG website but I am not sure if it applies in France. "If a subsequent cash payment is made when the member is not tax resident in the UK and has neither been UK resident in that UK tax year nor in any of the previous five tax years then it will not give rise to an unauthorised payments charge. And as before in the first 5/6 year period income withdrawals will also have to meet FA 2004 rules." If true would the French company just allow me to withdraw the balance of my fund, without penalties?
