2.
I thlink its a botch at Brittany Ferries. I sent aferry.to an email asking why they were still taking booking if Brittany Ferries were turning away people who had booked with them . I also provided a link to this thread. I have just receive this reply. Dear Mr BJSLIV, Thank you for your email. The Travel Gateway which operates the website www.aferry.to has no connection with the company to which you are referring in this email, the Online Travel Group. Our company the Travel Gateway has and continues to have good relationships with all the major ferry operators in Europe and our customers are not being affected in this way. I trust this has addressed any concerns you have in this matter. Kind Regards, Claire B Support Services
No connection? Aferry.to sent us confirmation stating thank you for booking with the online travel group!
3. Anyone have any problems with Brittany Ferries? Booked a few week ago via aferry.to and on our return had to pay the whole lot again due to them having issues with aferry.to or they wasn't letting us on the ship. I cannot get any contact with those we booked with to see about a refund (not likely!) Anyone else had similar problems, how do we get in contact with The online travel group (aferry.to) Cheers
4. The French don't dislike the English here as much as the English do

8. I got uk tv a couple of years ago in Italy and Sardinia no probs using bog standard cable.
9. Can't say I have ever had login problems, its all down to the computer you're using.
10. The reason for having to sign in on a regular basis might be down to your PC, anti virus software, check the cookie controls. Might be down to the sites settings as well though.

13. Haute Vienne is a nice part of France, more picturesque than surrounding departments (except Dordogne, in my opinion). Many might say its wetter and colder but everywhere someone will say its better somewhere else. As a holiday home the Haute Vienne is a nice place, I wouldn't buy on the N147 tho when there are plenty off it. Have sent a PM regarding properties in the Dordogne not yet on the market. Good luck
14. I think of going back and working again just as much (if not more) than I did about moving abroad I don't see it as a right or wrong move, just a move and looking forward to the next whatever that is
15. If your gites electricity is on the same as yours these might be your best option failing that I have used an exterior wifi antenna connected to a netgear router with a distance of 100m
16. Hi Had a quick look, first impressions are good, good images. The coding isn't so good, no tags (although not absolutely neccessary) the way its put together wont get a good google listing if you're after one, quite a lot going on as well for whats needed, 140k page size is quite a lot, on ADSL tho its fine I wouldn't have the email address on the site as it is either, you'll get a lot of spam. Overall tho, nothing there puts me off if I was looking for somewhere to stay good luck with it edited to add- picture file sizes in Tariff page are way too large breakfast times not important, most pages can be cut down and added in others
17. My advise would be at least 2gb memory and a decent cpu for vista, it can get very slow, looks and feels good at first but after a while I wanted XP back
18.
With changes to healthcare rules and an awful exchange rate if you are changing pounds to euros, it seems like the bubble for moving from the UK to places such as France and Spain has finally burst. But whose fault is it? Surely Spanish and French folk have reaped a lot of benefits in recent years with Brits buying up and renovating properties that they themselves did not want? So who has burst the bubble? And who stands to lose most by it?
another nice postive post England is so bad people will continue to move out
19. To the original post, try www.lepoirie.com for accommodation near Secondigny. To the others - more lakes in the Vienne than Deux Sevres !! oh dear more brits here than there, tut tut
20. Nice to see Tim (Kaylin Computers) posting again, not seen/heard from him in a while I'd be inclined to uninstall (or restore to an earlier time) the roxio software and try some other software nero or there are many free cd writing softwares available to download Maybe directcd is installed and causing problems with disc reading Uninstall the roxio stuff and try something else.
21. I was in the UK a few weeks ago, got a sim card from Tescos, think there are 3 choices, got the dearest (PAYG plus, or something like that) due to it working abroad, only about £2.80.
22. We bought a property a while back with similar amount of land. SAFER was part of the buying process, the land in our case had a neighbouring farmers cattle on there, once we bought the property the farmer asked us if it was okay to continue, wasn't a problem for us. The whole buying process for us took just 6 weeks! If there is any agreement between the vendor and farmer then it should come up at the notaires, immos are usually pretty straight, you could ask them to have it put into the compromis. Go back to the house and ask yourself or ask a neighbour.
