1. Very helpful, have printed it off to go in the car!   When you click the link it comes up with Article R222-2, instead of R222-1. (So you need to click retour and type in the code number). Louise
2. See you are a cat hater!!! I guess it would help with your pine cone practice if the cat stayed still! Boys are so mean. [:P] Louise
3. 'Dvd player to fry'.......now that sounds like an interesting story!! Where/ how are they getting in? They normally only follow a trail to a food source. I did hear if you put washing powder down they collect it and take it to the nest which kills them!?? Also chilli powder or pepper deters them. Louise
4. We have some near us, i was thinking how beautiful they are.  I didn't realise there was another side to the story! Girls and flowers again!! Louise
5. Have you checked your line on here: http://www.degrouptest.com/ We tried on wanadoo's site and it said no, but tried on degroup test and it said yes and gave a link to wanadoo page to sign up, and it worked fine! Strange!! Louise
6.  How frustrating for you, Rozmum. I have to stop myself getting annoyed because i am still in shock that i have managed to get broadband out in the country, i never expected to. As for the rebate....hummmmm......... you'll be lucky! [:D] Louise
7.
we cant give them away ..everybody has laden trees this year .
I don't, i have found 2, and have quite a few plum trees [:(] Get a juicer, a great way of using up surplus fruit and veg. Louise
8.  I have loads also, but they don't actually cause any problems in the garden so i let them be! An environmentally friendly way to kill them is with boiling water poured over the nest, but i only do that if they are coming in the house.(I don't like killing things.) The garden is their domain! Some info here about other ways of controlling them, http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/factsheets/pc1.php Louise
9. Aha i guess the hole must be for a hand then! [;-)] I probably could just about squeeze my scrawny little wrist in there. Twinkle don't go giving me ideas............... although I'm sure my new bed could easily be modified! Louise
10.     Now there's a different use for the end of the bed........stocks! don't think this one is big enough for a foot though! I really like them though. I have just bought my new bed, unfortunately softwood like these, but fairly chunky. Not as nice as these though but it'll do until i become rich and can afford to have one designed and made for me! Louise
11.
I used the "mesh" type tape for mine as I did not have a cassette for the paper roll and being slightly tacky it stays up by itself (on the ceiling). Seems much quicker, cleaner and easier than the paper tape. Year and a half later nothing has cracked-out. Ian
Yep i prefer the mesh stuff, much easier. But why does it say not suitable for use on ceilings?? (I i have used it anyway though!) Louise
12.  I think Cassis is a very helpful ( and manly) Sausage! He must be thinking of a different sausage altogether! Louise
13.     Sorry cassis, posted before i saw yours!
14. Have a look here Hugh! http://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profiles0800/semi_ripe.asp I think as long as its frost free you should be fine! Louise
15. Yep we're not far from Nontron so i guess it must have been a local problem! Louise
16. Even if you can't see the joint you still know they're their...lurking under the surface!! I too am becoming obsessed by getting them prefect, much to OH's annoyance..........'ah that'll do just paint it'! And i look at walls when i go out to see how badly other people have done it. I always feel smug when i see it done really badly! (Mine are far from perfect though!) A sponge to feather the edges helps, and cuts down on sanding ( an evil job!) Thanks J.R for clearing up what the difference is. No idea what we used!! Louise
17.
..well, i know at least one Italian who almost lost a tumb trying to open a tin of confit de canard.... so you are not alone...  [B]
I wonder what the statistics are for that in France??? Hows it healing up? Louise
18.  My propagation books doesn't mention growing from fruits, but you can take basal cuttings in Sept. Take 10cm semi ripe cuttings and root  in a cold frame and plant or pot on in spring. (oh and says to use hormone rooting powder) It also gives it an easy rating! As for the fruit stick some in a pot 'o' muck and see! Louise
19. Hi Karen, Have you got a good book on moving to France? I liked Living and Working in France - David Hampshire Survival books.  (in the Living France shop) and also by the same author 'Buying a home in France.' Both are updated  annually with a new edition, so they aren't going to have out of date info. (hopefully!) There are loads of others, some which may be better, but i found these ones really useful. You sound like you have a bit of a tribe to organise before the move! Good luck, and welcome to the roller coaster of moving to France! (Bit scary at the time but with hindsight it wasn't all that bad.....maybe even enjoyable!?) Louise
20. Tony,   Wild guess here, but has one got tapered joints and the other not?? Louise
21.  Castorama cut glass also. Not sure on how the price compares with other places. (I'm guessing it may be similar....??) Louise
22. '5 Brits were injured last year in accidents involving out-of-control Scalextric cars.' HOW?? WHAT?? Were they giant ones?? I can't get my head round that one. Can someone with a scalextric please go and try and hurt themselves with an out of control car?! I'd be intrigued to know if its possible. (And a good injury, not just a little scratch!) I'll try if someone can lend me one. [:D] Louise
23. Nothing that i know of going on!! It seems to be working fine now though.  Very odd, i wonder if they were repairing something on the line locally. Maybe we are going to be receiving 8meg broadband ..........mmmm doubt that somehow.  Phone etc worked fine though. Louise
24. oops i think the lager i am drinking is German. I bought it in France though, so that would count i guess...........[8-)]
25.
Only if it is linked to France.
So it'd be fine then as long you only drank alcoholic beverages from France! Yep I've passed [B]
