Salt is good for clearing nettles. Use a watering can and water the nettles with it (or sprinkle it on/around them).

It's rubbish isn't it! But on the bright side..... himself is fencing the field. He has got 90 odd posts in so far........another 150 odd to do. It will be impossible to do if the ground drys up. So he gets quite excited when it rains!! We don't want to have to wait till autumn to have it finished. Oh and my veggies are loving it! Hey someone once told me rain was just liquid sunshine............he was a bit of a twit though.....

There is someone a few km away that has (i think) a knicker washing day. Occasionally i go past and there is like 20 pairs (HOOOOGE white ones) all lined up very precisely on the washing line...........nothing else, just the knickers.........always makes me chuckle.  They are visible from the main road!!

My previous (unqualified, and in my opinion not very good) French teacher charged €14 per hour (it was the same for us both to go or if we were alone). My new teacher (qualified and very good) charges €15 for 2 hours in a group or €25 an hour for a personally designed/ adapted course on a 1 to 1.
