  1. DON'T JUMP OFF THE ROOF, DAD Homer & Jethro - 1961 Tommy Cooper - 1961 Daddy came home from work tired His boss had been driving him mad. The kids were all shouting, the dog bit him too His dinner was nothing but boiled over stew. I guess it was then he decided Up to the rooftop he'd go He was about to jump off when The kids started howling below 'Don't jump off the roof, Dad You'll make a hole in the yard Mother's just planted petunias The weeding and seeding was hard If you must end it all, Dad Won't you please give us a break Just take a walk down the park, Dad And there you can jump in the lake.' whatever did we do before Google Kind regards Mike
  2. Hi, I had cause to contact CA Britline on this same kind of issue as French accommodation for Lille braderie sent me their RIB details for payment of deposit. Phoned CA Britline and received this response "Thank you for your email. You can send us a scanned request to us by email, fax or post. Please find attached a model form for you to complete and return to us". As the sum involved was only circa 26 euro and was only a one-off payment it made more sense to just send a cheque to the payee. Also looked into the Klixo option but this requires "tying" to a French mobile number. Kind regards Mike
  3. Hi Jacko19, it's only allowed on a new account, but there's nothing to stop you starting a new shared account with the existing one still current. Edit. I suppose there's scope for some kind of matchmaking thread, along the lines of, "partner wanted to take up 3 trips available on proposed shared account" Kind regards mike
  4. ticket search appears to work fine via http://www.eurolines.co.uk enter routes dates ticket types click on the see tickets and prices link it then runs the search and displays results London Victoria to Cahors 27 July £83 single ticket Kind regards Mike
  5. Hi Sunday Driver, thanks for the response. After posting I found one of your posts that confirmed the bit I was flaky on. No CT to worry about as its my scooter that's up for sale Kind regards Mike
  6. Hi, could someone please confirm if I've got this correct? I'm hopefully selling to a private buyer. On the body of the certificate de immatriculation I write vendu le followed by date` of sale and my signature. Does the document need to be struck through like we'd cross a cheque? On the detachable coupon I enter the buyers details date of sale and my signature passing both parts to the buyer. Complete 3 copies of certificate de cession, 1 for my records (and to use to cancel insurance) 1 for me to send to prefecture where vehicle was registered when I purchased it, final copy for buyer. Print off certificate de non gage to give to buyer (although I understand this is not compulsory) Kind regards Mike
  7. working fine for me in both Firefox and IE9, which is more than I can say for the "improved" forum software!*   Edit * it appears`I now have to preview any reply, then post, rather than just hitting post   Kind regards Mike
  8. Hi Crossy, tried to reply but the forum "improvements" mean that it doesn't register*   Mike   *unless of course this reply appears! and Lo and behold it did! So, back to my original response. Are we in danger of being too precious over the timber we inherit? In my case I'm looking at around 10 ceiling beams that it might be simpler in terms of cost//time to replace and then burn as heating fuel   Mike
  9. I have the same kind of issue and have been toying with the idea of putting a blow torch on the nail to see if heating would cause it to expand within the wood, then allow it to cool and see if the expansion/shrinkage loosens it by leaving the contracted nail in a slightly larger hole. Very happy to let someone else try it first! Mike
  10. pull the unit out note the serial number on it, if it starts with M followed by 6 numbers send it (the serial number!) to me and I'll check the code using the same software used by sites that offer a paid service   Mike
  11. Hi, I think the problem is that there's only a certain timespan that you can enter details onto the website, so if you enter the avis number outside of the window of opportunity it refuses to recognise it even though it is correct. regards Mike
  12. possibly a measured volume of flour? as in the cooking recipe term "take 2 cups of ...." Oh the fun I've had trying to amend US recipes to reflect UK cup sizes! regards Mike
  13. Are you saying that your sat nav itself is knackered or that it is the POI file that's knackered? As far as I can see on the site that you indicate it would cost you 35 euro to download their list of aires camping car. There is another site gpspassion.com that has a page of POI for various satnavs. If you want anything further please send me a private message regards Mike
