Hi, We have had our chambres D'hotes now for just over a year, and just resently we have been getting requests from people who want to book up if they can use our kitchen to cook their own meals. has anyone had the same request and if so what was you reply. I run a chambres d'hotes and just today received a letter in the post. This was in the form of an invoice from a company called EPAGE from Les Lilas, it has been professionally designed and asks for a payment of 297,44€ to inscribe on their site, it also has a section at the bottom to go with a cheque or fill in with your R.I.B. THIS IS A SCAM. You have been warned.

I've had the same E-mail, quite a convincing one compared to the usual lot we get untill I started to delve a bit further and googled in Dr Susan Elizabeth Rice and found out she married on 12th Sept 1992. I have tried finding a E-mail address for the formentioned Dr Rice to see if I could fore warn her someone is using her name, but so far no luck.

Hi, We have recently opened our Chambre D'hote, I know we will not have anything to pay this year and probablely nothing next year, depending on how well we do. What i would like to know is will the Tax office know we have started our business and send us a tax form next year or do we have to contact them, if so where do we have to go, we live in the Charente Maritime. Hi, We have just recently opened a Chambre D'hote, with regards to working out what you pay for food, cleaning etc for our accounts thats no problem, but what do other owners work out what percentage of Electric and water bills do you put towards your outgoings compared to business and own use. Hi, we are thinking of selling our house in France, we bought it nearly five years ago for €100,000 and its now been valued at around €200,000. Question 1. I known you have to pay a bit if you sell before a number of years, does anyone know what the persentage is and on how much. At St Jean D'angely went to Le Clerc this morning and filled up with petrol but they were out of Diesel, then went to Intermarche to get some food, there petrol station completely closed.

Hi, We have just moved over to France and shall be opening a Chambre D'hôte next month, I know that Income Tax form have to be returned by end of May, as we have not earned any money as yet do i still have to register for Tax this year or do I wait until next year and if I do have to register this year who do I go to. Hi, As mentioned before T V 5 is on channel 799 but you can also get France 24 on channel 517 which gives the news alternately every hour in English and French. Bob.

Hi, I'm moving to the Charente Maritime in March, we already  connected (phone) to France Telecom, I need to get  my computer connected to the Internet and Broadband does anyone have any preferrence to using F T or someone has mentioned Teleconnect, any advice would be useful. Many thanks, Bob.

Rather than use the Post Office to get your Euros, try Marks & Spencer or Tesco's as they both offer a better rate. Not great but it all helps. Bob.
