There are quite a few ex pats in this area of Brittany,but most looking to integrate. I and some of my English friends go to an English owned french bar along with a lot of locals.We also go to a conversation club where we read and sing (badly) in French. It was not the reason I came here to live in a Brit enclave.My wife and I try to get involved in village life and if that involves being with ex pats as well as local people so be it.

I know France has been told to comply with pre 2007 regs regarding health cover but when will it restart again? I have read in the C..........n newspaper that it is down to the local CPAM to sort out.I need to apply for 1st Jan because I do not want to fork out over 3000 euros again for private insurance.I will be 65 next September so I will be ok then. Has anyone had any problems applying?

My wife attracts anything that bites.I take anti histamine for hay fever and I find ,touch wood, that if I am bitten I get very little irritation.My wife sometimes takes one of my tablets and she finds that the irritation is not so bad. I have been told that insects are attracted to women because of the chemical Feromone that they release.How true it is I do not know.
