French Francs

The French Franc, just like any other currency that went into the Euro, is still a valid currency. You might find that there are only very few banks in France that will still exchange them for Euros but you will be sure to find one, even if it is the central bank!
Good luck,
Christiane

We found some a few months ago and took them to our local tresor public where they exchanged them for us(just look up your nearest in the phone book)-it was really interesting as it looked such a scruffy place on the outside all crisp and efficient and friendly on the inside!!!Just like me-LOL-

They are still in circulation! I found this out a few weeks ago - after passing through three peages on the A62/A20 and using euro notes each time I later checked my change and found I had been passed two 10F coins in place of euro coins. Don't suppose the British registration on the car helped but it's not easy to go back and complain.
