  1. Hi,here in sw dept 17 we've got the usual pomegranites, vines and figs but we've also got some bananas growing! We've done absolutely nothing to the palm but I'm wondering if we should be doing anything? Can you get companion planting for bananas?Do they require water/no water??I can't find anything in gardening books about growing bananas for their fruit.Anyone know anything about banana growing??Thankyou
  2. Hi-our replacement card took ages to arrive from Uk but it worked as soon as I popped it in the machine-easy peasy .No phone calls needed, not even a wait till it was activated-hurray,technology that even I can manage!
  3. We found some a few months ago and took them to our local tresor public where they exchanged them for us(just look up your nearest in the phone book)-it was really interesting as it looked such a scruffy place on the outside all crisp and efficient and friendly on the inside!!!Just like me-LOL-
  4. Good luck!It will be interesting to hear what they have to say, please let us know!
  5. Hi,some of our land is non constructable and we had a lot of difficulty putting a pool on it-we navely thought a pool would be OK-it wasn't Fortunately the mayor stepped in and saved our bacon!
  6. Yes,I agree it would be really useful to know what are the possible pitfalls,or otherwise! Here's hoping ....
  7. Hi John.I'm sure others will tell you that it's not difficult to get by with only rudimentary language skills, and I'd totally agree with them.Neither my husband nor I had even O-level French when we bought our house 4 years ago-having both loathed French lessons at school! We just walked in off the street to an estate agent who only spoke French, with good will on both sides, were able to complete the purchase totally unaided! The French are as willing as everyone else to respond to a friendly manner! It's amazing how quickly we learn when we want to! Everyone has always been very friendly, possibly more so than our neighbours in England!
  8. Hi Trisha.Hey you think you've got troubles-what about the "Corsica" site??????

Hope the lack of replies is because there's nothing bad to report/avoid!Have you settled in yet?
