  1. Hi all We have just received a statement from our bank and notice that our mortgage payments are incurring a Cotisation ADI and a Coti.cpt serv souplesse amounting to some 14.00 - not a lot I know to some but it is another deduction from our bank account and the amounting 14.00s could go towards another mortgage payment! The mortgage is with the same bank as our current account. Is it right that we are incurring these "extra" charges? We thought it bad enough that every time we paid in euros that we were getting charged and every time we paid in a euro cheque we were charged but to have a charge to have our mortgage payment transferred to the "mortgage" account seems a bit absurd more so that they are at the same bank!!! Sarah
  2. Does anyone know if I am now stuck with some Francs that I found in a tidy up! I thought I had exchanged all that I had but alas, found a few lurking in a drawer today! Sarah
  3. Am unlucky with having a CA account and we noticed the charges but couldn't quite figure them since we are having euros credited to our account each month. Is there a letter that we could write to the CA to clarify that since we are having euros paid in why should we be charged. We are considering stopping the transfers each month, holding on the Sterling here, changing it to Euros using one of the commission free exchanges (Post Office) and then depositing it in the CA branch when we get there. We did think to ourselves, do we get charged for making cash deposits!!!! Sarah
  4. This has shown up on our bank statement:- "RBT Pret..." and it seems to come with a "Cotisation ADI..." they show up after the bank transferred the mortgage monies into our account and as we were not in a position to complete (still haven't signed!) they took the loan back out! Does anyonw know whether these payments that are coming in and out could be the mortgage payment? I am armed and ready to tackle the bank next week!!! Sarah
  5. I have paid in a couple of cheques - posting them with a copy of our RIB - and have had bank charges. I am confused as the cheques were for Euros and not in Sterling and I though there would be no charges! Also.... our bank "kindly" sent our Notaire money from our account without our asking them, this made our account overdrawn and so I have had charges that are not our fault. My French isn't that good so I am having to write as best I can to ask for them to refund the charges because it was their boo-boo. Any assistance from someone who can write French better than me would be appreciated. Sarah & Brian
