Your friend will get $$ to use in the US, you'll get what you need (£ or euros) and you'll both pay less than you would if you were changing via a bank, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And don't be fooled by 'Commision Free'. It's no such thing, it's just the commission is built into the exchange rate. Known as a 'Dirty Price' in the trade.
