I am surprised that they are doing the equivalent of refunding tax paid in the UK though. I wonder if they realise and what they will do when they do.

We have not received our Avis d'impots for 2019. Normally, I think we get it in late August. They are still deducting a prelevement each month.

I will go down to the Impots again but wondered if anyone else is in the same position.

You don't say where you live so that might have an effect. We are in Morbihan and have only just received ours.

You may have accidentally opted for the no paper option.

Thanks, guys. I decided to go and check it out at the Impots and was told 'il faut attendre'. Seems to be late because we are foreigners. If yours has only just come, Sue, that gives me reassurance. We are in Normandy and, as I said, usually it has been end of August in the past.

Yes, agreed it was usually the end of August for us too.

You're right when you say the delay is because we're foreign in the sense that our income stems totally from the UK.

We have pensions from the UK plus UK investments that pay us an income which, of course, has to be looked at separately here as regards the taxes due.

All of which takes time.
