Dog Posted July 10, 2011 Share Posted July 10, 2011 Good tip - last year in Crete a friend with a taverna said that 80% of the local shops and restaurants hadn't paid rent/rates or tax for 2 years. JSKS Posted July 10, 2011 Share Posted July 10, 2011 In fact, Greece would be quite happy to skip the Euro, devalue and look after itself but this is not a politically attractive solution, particularly in the halls of the EU where political ''face'' is much more important than sense.
