They don't want my blood because I lived in the UK at the wrong time, (I can't remember what the dates are but it is most of the 80s I think) and they think we might have mad cow disease. Val_2 Posted July 6, 2005 Share Posted July 6, 2005 I think you will find that if you lived for more than ten years in the UK before 1996 then you will not be allowed to donate blood in France. By the way,see yet another case of CJD surfaced yesterday from contaminated blood so really its a load of old bull as we are no more infected than the french.
