Is everyone who has moved to France come from Dorset or Hampshire ?

Cassis, you are correct, of course, it started because of the ten english couples that live within seven miles of us, eight came from those two counties. It could also be the fact that the area we live is very similar, geographically, to north dorset/hampshire.

Our 2 closest English neighbours came over here from Kent.  However, this is probably because one came with me to house-hunt (supposedly to keep my feet on the ground) and bought a house on the same day as we did, and the other who stayed with us half a dozen times and then moved over here on the strength of that.  I also discovered that the wife of a local English farmer went to the  same school as me.

Bravo me old pearly Queen !

My Gran was one yer know and my  Mum, (she wasn't) for all her life, went by the name of  Queenie, like so many at the time did, or so I seem to remember ?

Born in Queen Charlotte's moi.....same gaff I believe, as Prince lugoles himself... Some people, when they hear us speak, think the babies may well have been accidentally swapped [:)]
