Kitty
Yes, today 8th February, we have been mowing our grass (you can't call it a lawn after the moles got to it last year) in 33 (near Bordeaux). Has anyone else got their lawn mower out?
cooperlola
There is certainly enough grass to cut it but nothing would persuade me to do so in February![:)]

Kitty
Had to cut it, Coops. It was too long around the edges of a new hedgerow.
Meg
I did think about it today! Just how much fun is cutting grass, i love it! [:)]

Meg
I don't iron. Ever. Don't even know where the iron is or if it works. And we don't own a ironing board. [:)]
osie
Already started in January... strimming that is .... and expecting this to keep going for the rest of my life... Found out today that weeding is pretty easy compared to the mosters that appear in Aprilosie
Gemini_man
I did our first cut at the end of January and have just done the second one. Admittedly the first was more leaf collecting than grass cutting but it did tidy things up after winter. And now I'm busy cutting clients grass ready for their first visits of the year [:)]
Suze01
I have mowed this early in previous years but I've found that the chickens do a very good job of keeping it down at this time of year. Give it another month or so and I don't think they'll keep up with the growth rates though.
Vindolanda
Yes we had the first outing in between cold snaps a week or so ago. Mainly to knock some of the tufts back to the same length as the rest. I hope the current frosty nights will hold it back a bit yet for further trims.
