NormanH
Do you mean a training course to be a teacher, or a course to learn English ( as a neighbour might ask for ) ?
Evianers
You do not stipulate whereabouts you live, but an employee of ours has just completed the CELTA course in Geneva. Additionally, as far as I am aware, it is also possible to do a TEFL, TESOL, and other options in GVA.
Quillan
I think she means Teaching English as a Foreign Language.Your be able to get private work doing this but I doubt you will get a job in the state (educational) system. There are only two officially accredited schools for the course in France, one is in Brittany (Plelauff) and the other in Paris. Val_2
It isn't accepted in national education teaching, the CAPES is required for that and my son is in 2nd year of his masters to teach english and this is the required degree after his licence which he got previously. TEFL can be used to give private lessons or in the workplace but not in schools as you must learn how to be a teacher, speak and write fluent french as well as all the english requirements which is horrendously difficult.
