Ryanair Offer

Sometimes taking the lowest price is not an option - surely the first decider is - does the plane fly from where you are to where you want to be.  The reason why Ryanair gets so many passengers is because (on the whole) they fly to airports that no-one else uses which just happen to be the ones nearest where people seem to want to go.

As I have said before, I prefer the train if at all possible, but it does depend on required speed of arrival, and destination location.  Occasionally I too have decided that though I would like to avoid flying, and Ryanair in particular, most of the other airline options are not available to me without long car trips at one end or the other, so Ryanair it has to be if needs must.

[quote user="sharkhunter"]Hi, been following this topic for as long as its ran and so far have kept my opinions out, until now......GET A LIFE PEOPLE, if you can get from a to b and back relatively cheaply then go, if you don't like the airline or the guy then dont go...........simples.
Why waste your time and energy typing a complaint here, those who like them use them, those who don't, don't.
I dislike gardening, do i look at the gardening section and complain, No.
I know little about electronic technology, so why waste my time with it.....................

As in the hunting debates on here, you cannot change peoples minds so why waste your time trying.

And i use Ryanair all the time, i do not care if the staff do not lavish me with smiles and warm welcomes, i go on the plane, see them for an hour and rarely see them again, big deal they are unhappy in their jobs and they show it when serving you, take your seat, open your book and wait till the plane lands and get off, end of, job done.
You and MOL are happy.

Are you two happy to tolerate low standards in other things ?

I can see no reason why someone who has contracted to do a job that involves dealing with the flying public shouldn't do it with a semblance of good manners, good grace and a smile - that 's the job. If a shop assistant at Aldi or Netto was similarly off hand would you be happy with that too ?

Well, actually I have several lives, one of which is in France, the others are in UK, when I have a pint in the pub, (cafe in the cafe) I tend to have a chat with others and compare things, sometimes good things come out of socialising; when I'm on the forum (an assembly, meeting place, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest) I chat about things that affect me or others to do with France that I can comment on. Sometimes it's a load of old toot, or someone gets a bit of a stress on, but it's good to talk. If you have something better to post, well go right ahead, we'd love to read about it, advise, laugh at or with you, you might even find someone gets a bit of a stress on.[:P]

In my experience I have never been treated this way or is it my standards aren't high enough.

Neither happy with it or happy to tolerate it but other than moving from where I live I can do nothing about it sadly.

Russethouse, for me its not a case of being happy to tolerate low standards, more of a ' you get what you pay for'

I can see no reason why someone who has contracted to do a job that

I totally agree with you, people employed in the public sector/service should deal with the public in a manner that they too would expect to be treated like, [:(] if only life was like it was meant to be eh !!!

If a shop assistant at Aldi or Netto was similarly off hand would you be happy with that too ?

No i would not and would probably be rude back to them, maybe even more so, but two wrongs don't make it right.

Also, the manager would be called and i would then be chucked out of the shop, in Ryanair's case that would involve the police waiting for me at the other end and delaying my onward flight for what......A cheap flight and a surly air stewardess [:D]

as Halfwit said in Big Brother ' i dont think so sonny jim '
