Turnip
Some time ago I came across a book containing stories ( such as "The canterville ghost") where the left hand page would be in English whilst the right hand page would be a French translation. Does anyone know where I could obtain similar books?

mint
cooperlolayes, that's what they are called. they do them in english/italian as well. other thing i do is collect brochures, tourist literature, whatever, in french and english and i try and see how much of the french i can understand before referring to the englishmy husband likes to learn by reading the bible of all things. not that he is conventionally religious but, as he so rightly points out, most of us do know the english text of, for example, the 23rd psalm and then you can read it in french and work it out quite well! PossumGirl
There are many such books in France. We've done several for different publishers. They exist in all genres and age groups.PG
Megan le Fey
A very limited selection can be downloaded, chapter by chapter from The French Podclass. I am not sure if you have to sign up but when I signed up about a year ago it cost nothing. Here is the link (hope it still works) but you may have to search around a bit on the site.http://www.frenchpodclass.com/index.php?post_category=Bilingual%20Text
