cameol Posted April 6, 2006 Share Posted April 6, 2006 I find it quite amazing that we live in the richest country in the world for wine and yet when I come to look for vine leaves (as we adore them stuffed), we seem to hit a wall. The only explanation I get is that they're sprayed with bordelaise and inedable! Cat Posted April 7, 2006 Share Posted April 7, 2006 I love stuffed vine leaves too, but I've never seen them for sale here, though I suppose I haven't really been looking for them as we have vines growing on our land anyway.If you live in a rural area you could try looking for wild vines later in the year, or even grow some vines of your own. Lori Posted April 7, 2006 Share Posted April 7, 2006 We have a wild vine that we can't seem to kill (it is badlylocated). However, we always use the leaves for stuffing. They are wonderful. We even pick, wash and freeze bags of them.However, I have to add that the jarred ones are available at ourCarpentras LeClerc and our Le Pontet Auchan.
