Cream cheese - is it available in France

I make it. Let milk go off and then put it in a boiled linen cloth placed in a seive over a bowl and then keep moving it around until it is solid and then leave another couple of days like that in the fridge. Keep draining the bowl.

Then mix with salt and pepper and what ever else you fancy.

Easy to make.

 

Sorry but not in time for tomorrow though. But maybe for another time.

 

ps I use whole milk

St Moret is sold in most supermarkets ... including SuperU, Intermarché and Casino.

Kiri is a good substitute too if you plan to make a cheesecake, as I have used that when the locally sold Philly was too expensive for too small a pack.

There are also own-label copies but I don't know how good they would be.
