Seem to cost an arm and a leg in France or are we looking in the wrong places?

Silent night, morphy richards etc all names I know and trust are available on amazon UK but I'd need to change the plugs. is that my best bet?

We've got one from Lidl which just covers a central rectangle of the bed, but that's enough to warm it. Very cheap, and I'd expect they'll be arriving in the shops soon.

I have bought an electric blanket for my MIL some years ago. But please tell me what happens if you just get into bed......... doesn't it get warm and cosy very quickly.

Not down the bottom ( of the bed that is) . Its just to take the chill off when it gets very cold before we get in as we don't really bother using our old oil run radiators.

That's the same as we've got Clair, and although it doesn't cover the whole bed, it's enough to warm it up.

Thats not a bad price at all but I have bought two doubles and a single from Amazon UK with delivery for around £8 for about the same as 3 of those ,and though usually quite happy with Lidl quality; the amazon ones are a good quality UK mark.

I think if I had cold feet, as I can only imagine that that would be the only part of me that was.  I'd buy some of those fluffy socks, which I wear as house slippers in the winter, and put them on my wood burner or radiator and pop them on just before getting into bed.

One of my great pleasures is getting into a cold bed and getting it warm....... have I imagined this, or in the olde days, was there a profession of 'bed warmer'? And before it is suggested otherwise, 'just' to warm the bed and not to render any other sort of service.

Just to say I saw electric blankets at about 18 euros today in Lidl
