B.
Am I right in thinking that the changes to healthcare entitlement affect all E.U. nationals living in France? I only ask because we have Dutch friends who would be affected but they have heard nothing from CPAM. In fact they had heard nothing at all about this and were frankly disbelieving when I mentioned it.
Joshua
Hi, BAccording to the letter of support from Chris Davies MEP, he seems to think its everyone but the French that are affected ( see Lobbying , back a few items)Changes to French Healthcare and Non-French EU Citizens He’s signed and gives his support to the declarationsubmitted by Bill Newton-Dunn MEP and Mary Honeyball MEPJoshua[:D]

Ron Avery
Many people have heard nothing "officially" in writing. In some Departments the CPAMs have done nothing to inform CMU members of the proposed changes like in 12, electing to wait and see if the changes will actually happen, some CPAMS like in the Lot 46 have issued dismissal letters. If I did not look at this Forum I would know nothing (some say that is the case any way[kiss])
krusty
I thought the only official document issued by France was addressed to us British onlyhttp://www.securite-sociale.fr/comprendre/europe/europe/cmu_inactifs.htm
Clair
I believe it is a clarification concerning British inactives, as was confirmed by Sécurité Sociale's spokesperson Stéphanie Gaillard in reply to an enquiry from French Health Issues:
Notrepoint d'information est valable non seulement pour les ressortissantsbritanniques mais pour l'ensemble des ressortissants communautairesinactifs résidant en France. Je vous rappelle le premierpoint de notre information : « Iln'y a pas dans la réglementation française de mesuresspécifiques en matière d'assurance maladie pour lesressortissants britanniques. Ceux-ci reçoivent le mêmetraitement, en droits et en obligations, que les autres citoyens del'Union européenne résidant ou venant résider enFrance. » - Our annoucement applies not only toBritish nationals, but to all inactive EU citizens who live inFrance. As specified in the first point of our annoucement: « Thereare no measures within the French health insurance regulations whichapply specifically to British citizens. They are subject to the sameregulations, with regards to their rights and obligations, as otherEuropean Union citizens living or planning to live in France. »
