Il a lui-même été blessé au cours de la fusillade.Le tireur était entré dans le bâtiment en portant "une longue arme", indiquait aux journalistes un porte-parole de la police, le sergent David Schlosser, sur place alors que des hélicoptères tournoyaient au-dessus du périmètre bloqué à la circulation par la police.Le musée de l'Holocauste, qui se trouve à quelque 500 mètres de la Maison Blanche, a été évacué, a précisé un porte-parole du musée à l'AFP dès les premiers coups de feu.Un témoin, Angela Andelson, 22 ans, une habitante de San Francisco (Californie, ouest) qui visitait le musée, a dit à l'AFP avoir entendu cinq coups de feu."J'étais près de l'entrée quand le tireur est arrivé", a-t-elle raconté.PUBLICITÉ"J'ai entendu un coup, c'était fort, comme si quelqu'un faisait tomber quelque chose", a-t-elle poursuivi."Et j'ai vu tous ces agents de sécurité qui se mettaient à couvert. J'ai jeté un coup d'oeil et j'ai vu le tireur qui entrait (...) avec une sorte de longue arme. J'ai couru dans une des expositions pour me mettre à couvert"."Quand j'ai regardé, il y a eu peut-être deux à quatre coups de feu," a expliqué Angela Andelson, ajoutant que "tout le monde criait et tentait de se protéger en s'aplatissant au sol, sous les bancs".Maria Hernandez, une autre témoin, visitait le musée en compagnie de ses grands-parents. "Nous avons entendu des coups de feu et à travers une porte vitrée j'ai vu un agent de sécurité faire feu en direction du tireur, un homme au sol, sur le ventre et quand j'ai à nouveau regardé en arrière alors que nous allions tous vers la sortie j'ai vu du sang partout sur le sol", a-t-elle raconté à l'AFP."Nous étions terrifiés. On a compris immédiatement ce qui se passait (...) Nous étions assez près (du tireur), nous ne savions pas si nous serions les prochains", a raconté à la chaîne MSNBC un autre témoin, Dave, qui visitait le musée avec sa femme et ses deux petits-fils de 15 et 17 ans.Cette fusillade intervient quelques jours seulement après une visite du président américain, Barack Obama, au Moyen-Orient et en Europe, où il a rendu hommage aux victimes de l'Holocauste en visitant le camp d'extermination de Buchenwald en Allemagne.Plus de 30 millions de personnes ont visité le musée de l'Holocauste depuis son ouverture en 1993, dont 85 chefs d'Etats.Thanks alot.
