Coops - I quite agree with you. But I was really asking how many of the posters on this thread who assume that Ryanair crew are rude have flown with Ryanair, and if so, were the crew actually rude to them?

I'm surprised by the number of posters here who assume that Ryanair employees will be rude to them. How many of you have had that happen to you? For my part I fly with Ryanair a couple of times a year and have always enjoyed the experience. The crew members are always polite and smiling. Mind you I'm always polite and smile at them, and I've never tried to board with hand luggage that doesn't comply with the regulations. Edit: For rude and inefficient service Buzz took the biscuit. But they went bust very quickly, perhaps as a result of their level of service.

Your EDF invoice should show the last seven meter readings, with the statement Les chiffres en gras correspondent aux consommations relevées - actual readings are in bold type. You could ring EDF customer service - 0800 030 333.

If you give your car's registration number when you book on-line your booking will be recognized by the system as you arrive at the auto check-in. That way you will not need to insert your card either going out or on your return.

Audio From what you say you should be complaining to the tourist office where you bought the tickets, rather than SNCF. You say you received a "small discount", but I think you will find that the discount you received was the same as the amount you were required to pay by the ticket inspector. In that case what was your loss? You might have been entitled to a 25% discount because of your age, but this only apples in certain cases. You don't say where you were travelling from, so it's impossible to work the figures out. As for "targeting us", I don't think so, a ticket inspector's job is to ensure that travellers are carrying the correct tickets. But "it's because we're English" is the standard reaction of certain anglophones when they find themselves on the wrong side of French officialdom.

I'm not sure that "they" i.e. Mercedes-Benz have said that, in fact Ross Brawn and Nick Fry said they wanted to keep Button. But an all-German driver line up might be good PR for M-B's domestic market.

Mercedes F1 engines are built by Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines Ltd at Brixworth, Northampton. That company was formerly called Ilmor Engineering, but today's Ilmor Engineering is an unrelated company making engines for racing in the USA. McLaren-Mercedes F1 cars are built at Woking, Surrey. Brawn F1 cars, now to be called Mercedes Grand Prix are built at Brackley, Northampton and  have Mercedes HPE engines. The Toyota F1 cars and the engines used by Toyota and Williams were built at Cologne, Germany. Toyota has now withdrawn from F1. Renault F1 cars are built at Enstone, Oxfordshire and their engines are built at Viry-Châtillon, near Paris. Ferrari F1 cars and engines are built at Marenello, Italy. BMW-Sauber F1 cars were built at Hinwil, Switzerland with engines built in Munich. The team has been sold and, if it competes in F1 in 2010, will use Ferrari engines. Williams F1 is based it Didcot, Oxford and will use Cosworth (based at Northampton) engines in 2010. Red Bull F1 cars are built at Milton Keynes and use Renault engines. Toro Rosso F1 is based at Faenza, Italy and uses Ferrari engines. Force India F1 is based at Silverstone, Northampton and uses Mercedes HPE engines. 2010 should see the appearance of four new teams in F1 - Lotus , based in Hingham, Norfolk, Manor, based in Dinnington, Yorkshire, Campos, from Spain and Team US F1, from USA. All four of these teams will use Cosworth engines. There seems to be some confusion here. There's no question of this plumber not being properly registered, or for that matter of there being any record of him doing anything wrong in France. This matter of "siret number" has been raised in three separate threads by the OP so far. I think it's almost certain that the officer did not see the Blue Card. Here's the regulation: Conditions d'utilisation des macarons GIC ou GIG, et de la carte européenne de stationnement   - Le bénéficiaire de ces différents insignes est la personne handicapée. Can you make anything of this? Thanks again for your responses.. [/quote] You've been given a ticket for unauthorized parking in a disabled space, which attracts a €135 fine and a tow to the pound. The police officer's starting to circle the wrong box isn't going to invalidate the ticket. Since you displayed your Blue Badge, all you need to do is write to the préfecture at the address on the ticket explaining the circumstances, enclosing the ticket and a photocopy of your Blue badge. Write in English if you have to. Good luck.    

All the replies above are very interesting, but the OP clearly states that the parking ticket was issued in Paris and is for 135 euros. The rules applying to disabled parking in Paris can be found via the following link: http://www.prefecture-police-paris.interieur.gouv.fr/circuler/places_handicapes/handicapes_version1.htm The standard parking fine in Paris is 35 euros, so this ticket was issued for a more serious (4th class) offence. Perhaps the OP would like to give us the details set out on the ticket itself - it has to state the exact location at which the offence was committed and the details of the offence. Until we have that information I can only repeat the advice I gave in my earlier post.

There is no time limit for using a disabled parking space in Paris and you can park free in any street parking space there, if you display your Blue Badge. If you want to contest the fine you should write to the Préfecture de Paris (the address will be on your parking ticket) enclosing the parking ticket (keep a copy), a copy of your Blue Badge and an explanation of the circumstances. If you really can't manage it in French you can write in English - they'll sort it out.

[/quote] I think you may have overlooked the fact that the site in Clair's link accepts postcodes as well as commune names. You only have to select the departement and on the susequent page feed in the postcode from LeBonCoin.

I know that route, at least as far as Ganges. It's not at all difficult, and the scenery is very pleasant. Take exit 48 from the A75 and follow D7 and then D999. Distance junction 48-Sauve is 83 kms (just over 50 miles). It should take around 1 hour 30 mins, but obviously depends on the traffic. Have a good trip.
