French word for "seal" or "gasket"

Our plumber recently installed a pare-baignoire, and I need to discuss a small problem with him.

The pare-baignoire has one panneau fixe and one flottant.  On the bottom of the glass of the panneau fixe there is a flexible plastic thing (it slides onto the glass) for preventing water leaking under the glass.

In the US, we would call that a seal or a gasket.  Does anyone know what that's called in French?

Thanks.
