1. Just downloaded the CCcleaner again, it got rid of loads of stuff. Is it real though....I know being a skeptic. I have spybot but not sure how that works. It flags something, and then I have to either tick a box or, and that is the point I suppose as it is not that clear. Anyway no matter what I tick a moment later a popup appears. So does spybot work in reverese! I am confused.[8-)]
2. Nice one the ster. Well, you are making a start, it is a process of elimination I am afraid. When the chap is replacing on the bearing, he might have a better idea of any other problems. But.................here's hoping and good luck on the trip.
3.
As for CC Cleaner, (me again trumpet [;-)]) there are definately programmes out there which attempt to scare you into downloading a fix for a non existent problem - they usually pop up in your face un requested and ALWAYS have to be paid for - but CC cleaner is one of the good guys which not only does a good job but is completely free.
That is the problem I need to fix ErnieY, those things that pop up in your face.......how do you get rid of them. I will get cc cleaner back.
4.
Ac50, An active forum needs active posters, perhaps your 51 posts in approx 3 years is a contributory factor in the lack of activity.
Admiration for the retort desal guy.[:D]
5. . wind turbines will eventually, like waste water and sewerage processing, become collective: by this I mean a group of ten dwellings will each invest in a bio-processor/Grey Water Plant (which will also produice methane gas for cooking/heating), wind turbine/s and solar arrays and power distribution, since ten individuals/families can collectively build a far more practical and much larger system. If you will, a bit like the concept of an urbanisation with a large satellite array, which then feeds the signals to all subscribing dwellings. The benefits being stronger signals; more channels; prettier than dozens of little dishes!   Again I am amazed.
6. Framboise, shame on you (at this point I wish their was a tongue in cheek smiley thingi) If you were on another well known site[Www], not half as good as this one you would have been.......busted.
7. OK ErnieY I hit the link but cannot find any questions to answer. What is it then? Speed Tests
8. I reckon you should have posted this under the ''Ghost'' thread. It has put the willies up me.
9.
Well...........................I'd probably go back there, then...................[Www]
I spent hours trying to think of  a retort Gluestick. Some lengthy witty tome perhaps. And you said it all in 7.5 words. Nice one.[:)]
10. Thank you. Must take a lot to make an air bag go off then.
11. Hello Stan. I guess you have moved in different circles than I, where a reward is offered to sweeten the pot. (no offence) I agree with Chris (Ohh, if I bung them some money they will look after me.) in the fact that this should never be a necessary practice. When I arrived here I did not speak the lingo or have much idea about anything. I had the phone engineers too. The thought of giving them a tip never entered my head. I gave them coffee and a beer though. The answers you have received I am sure were given in the most lighthearted way. We all need to know things and maybe because of your experiences you can aid the future progress of this most excellent Forum.
12. LOL LOL you got me going again......now stop it...............please.[:D][:D]
13. You made me really have to think Gluestick. At first I thought. ''Yea, this is made to make me ask ''Where? And then you would retort with a witty answer and I would be the one to get DONG. or Dugh. I now know the answer...... Fascinating.
14. Well I use English taps here OK. half inch and also three quarters.
15. Well, the blond chap after his mastering of the potters wheel went into pottery full time...........  making phallic replacements and other such sundries[geek]
16. Thanks ErnieY. Sorry just having a bad hair day. The great thing about a garage is that they have all the tools and equipment. When I saw my bearing being done the car was at head height on a special gig. And no it wasn't a Renault garage, far too expensive. It was a local chap.
17. Thanks ErnieY. You merely confirmed what I said but in  more words. OK maybe the half hour was a bit presumptuous. I can only assume that you have taken a bit of an attitude old chap as it was clearly my advice you had targeted. I had a wheel bearing done here in France on a Renault it did not take that long. I watched the whole thing. And yes I have replaced many a bearing in my time.
18. I am still reeling. I mean ok a tip if you want, but you have just given them 30 quid each!!!!!! would you give that to a Tele engineer in the uk. I have a really good postie and I give her 10-20 euro for the year. At Christmas. Telephone engineers are having a laugh. It's their job. On that note can I come and work for you[6]
19. Trust you nana. Then it will sound like a horror movie. I am the same I cannot bear to watch/listen. Why do they do it? One thought was gamesmenship putting the opponent off. I tend to believe this.
20. Hell NOTHING......give them a beer. I can say that I often work for French People and my tips are 2 euro at the most. I get fed well though.
