    New system PUMA

Just wondering if anyone has had any communication from CPAM or PUMA regarding the new system recently? Just wondering when we're going to get forms to fill in regarding income. As a non worker in France supported by OH who works outside of France I presume our system will remain the same, ie 8% of OH's income? We're yet to hear something.
  2. We have a well established Christmas tree in a circular area not surounded by any other trees or plants. However, the last few weeks the spines on the tree have turned very brown, as if lack of watering, but this isn't the issue as we have been watering every other day during the last few weeks of our very hot, dry weather. This is the first year it has gone like this, last year was also hot and it was ok. Could it be something else other than lack of water? Too much water? Disease? Thanks for help
  3. Many thanks Norman, very useful document
  4. As I mentioned in an earlier posting........"I've noticed that I seem to have Adobe DC which I assume is an online version and in that it is ok, shows correctly. However when I try to copy and paste the same problem occurs. So if I wanted to email it to the mutuelle it asks for name and password and is obviously not a free option." I want to be able to save the document so I can keep a record in my folders on PC without paying for anything and also being able to attach to emails when necessary. I really don't like windows 10 !!!!!!!!!!!

    LUNG CANCER

Victor I am 2 1/2 hours away from the Oncopole in Toulouse, yes the journey can be tiring but theyve always given me a bon de transport because of the distance. They really are excellent, I couldn't recommend them enough for cancer treatment. If you decide to take treatment you want the best options. I'm sure your dogs will adapt when you havè to leave them for a day, failing that do you have anyone who might be able to let them out Good luck

    LUNG CANCER

Hi Victor, I'm not sure where you are based but am guessing near Montpellier?? If so, have you considered having treatment at the Oncopole in Toulouse? It is a centre of excellence like the Royal Marsden and only treat cancer patients. I've had 8 years of treatment with them and fully recommend the centre. Thankfully all is well for me at the moment, in remission, so I wish you the very best for your treatments.
  7. On the Ameli site I am clicking on the details and download the statement, then when I open it in the downloads folder it comes up with all the ameli logo but doesn't show the actual details of my statement. I've noticed that I seem to have Adobe DC which I assume is an online version and in that it is ok, shows correctly. However when I try to copy and paste the same problem occurs. So if I wanted to email it to the mutuelle it asks for name and password and is obviously not a free option. Perhaps I need an older version, such as I use with windows 7 but is this possible on a windows 10 system?
  8. I never had a problem in windows 7. Just annoying with windows 10. As a very last resort I still have my old windows 7 machine but hope someone has the answer. Other PDF documents are ok, just ameli.
  9. Have tried that. I can view ok in Adobe but when I want to save in a folder in my documents the page is blank except for ameli logo
  10. I have a windows 10 laptop. I can open and view the documents on the ameli website but when I try to download them to my PC, when I open them from the PC (my documents or my downloads) they are blank documents but on the Ameli paper. I don't have MS office, I've been managing all but this on Open Office but I have downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and can view them ok, but only in this. What am I doing wrong? I would like to save the statements on a monthly basis and sometimes it is necessary to "attach" them to our mutuelle but can't from my own documents. Thanks from IT geniuses
  11. Minnie, I'm not sure so try to check it out, but I believe that once all the expert reports are done there is a time limit on them, ie, if you get them done next week they will only last for 2 years (not sure of exact time). I do know some people who've taken ages to sell and had to have diagnostics done again. Our fosse was installed in 2009 and know that it has to have another certificate as it's more than 4 years old. Maybe someone can clarify this.
  12. Where we lived in the UK we had had several kittens, all came to a ghastly end on a road around the corner from our house. We adopted two kittens and brought them to France aged 13 weeks, we'd never let them out of the UK house before we left. They are now 13 years old, and with two adopted cats aged 4 years and 2 years who all have the freedom of rural life, small animal catching on a daily basis and yet enjoy the home comforts we offer. There is no way I could leave any of them behind if we ever moved, if I had to I would keep them indoors as house cats, which might be a trial to begin with but I wouldn't want to leave them behind. I too think cats adapt to the situation they are offered, so don't worry about him, much better you take him with you than risk someone not caring about him if left behind in France. Good luck with it and hope it works out

    Joining the CMU

We normally pay our 8% of earned income (overseas) and haven't paid anything either this year. I've stopped worrying about it now as I am sure that next year they will, unfortunately, ask for 2016 and 2017 - so advice to self, don't spend but save the money :) otherwise will be slapped with a huge bill next year.
  14. GG - many thanks for your help which worked a treat. I emailed them and have since had a reply saying that they will start a case to refund me the full amount but, a big but, the seller already told me she wouldn't refund the postage (which actually cost more than the item), so I'll have to see what happens. I don't think I will order from Amazon Fr again!
  15. Thank you for all your replies. However in this instance I just need help now with my complaint. There doesn't appear to be a link for "not delivered" so not received even though there is a link for "return" and "replacement" so I just need to know how I complain about "not delivered" is there an email address? I couldn't find one
  16. Can someone help me please with the Amazon France website as I need to complain that an item was not received. I've been in touch with the seller in the UK who says that it's being returned to her because they couldn't find our address, so therefore if I still want the item (which is only small and would easily fit in our letter box) I will have to pay again for delivery! Or, for a refund they will not refund the postage as the item was sent. I have had this problem before with Chronopost who can never to be bothered to deliver to our actual address. Thanks for any help with how to sort this out
  17. I've managed to make the transfer via Currency Fair without any problems, so despite Caxton being a better exchange rate, they'll be losing customers if this problem continues.
  18. I just wondered if anyone had tried to transfer money from a UK bank account (in my case Nat West) to any of the online currency banks, since the referendum? I ask because today I tried to set up an exchange into a new account with Caxton FX but Nat West wouldn't let me. I telephoned them and they tried to do it but the young man I had spoken to says it's possible that Caxton's account might be suspended - perhaps because of the Brexit. He said that Nat West weren't allowing any currency exchange at the moment, which sounded a bit odd. I also telephoned Caxton who double checked that I had the correct account number and sort code, which I did but they suggested it was a problem with NW. Frustrating and going around in circles.

    Agoda

We have made a booking through them - well several in fact except all but 2 are cancelled now - does anyone know how you can "unsubscribe" from their constant bombardment of emails? I'm receiving several daily and would rather not keep getting them, but I can't see any where how to stop emails. Thanks
  20. Has anyone received any notification from their health provider (CPAM/RSI etc) of the changes? We haven't.
  21. Thanks Debra, I checked out your links and can understand now why we've heard nothing from URSSAF. Shame they will likely recover the payments next year, as was hoping for a spend up :) Can you explain how this might affect our situation please as I'm a bit confused. My OH works offshore, I do not work so the old cotisations to URSSAF were based on his salary and tax. From what I understand (is this right?) as I don't work and have no income, but live in France full time will my OH still pay both our cotisations?I currently have my own CV and CV number but still come under his cover. Thank you
  22. Is this why we haven't had our virement taken to URSSAF at the end of March and now we're in June we should be paying again, but we've had no communication so are not sure what's going on. No cotisations??? Can't believe that.
  23. It sounds and looks (from the link) that is what they are, but doesn't say how long they're around. Hopefully not too long Craig - majority of the trees on my walks around here are oak
  24. When I take my dog for a walk I get covered in tiny green caterpillars, they seem to be hanging from trees in what looks like a line of a spiders web. When I return from the outdoors, i have to comb through my hair and inspect my clothes. They're coming in with any washing that has been hanging outside, is it just me or are others noticing these. I would say they are tiny like the cabbage caterpillars. Will it stop soon please, I'm finding it quite annoying.
  25. This is the first year for us with this hedging and I am just wondering why ours, and most in the village have flowers, tiny white ones. Yet we have seen some locally without flowers. Do we cut these flowers off?
