10. I dont know who wrote it but the singer is Minnie Riperton. She had a 5 octal range and sadly died of Breast cancer in 1979. She was only 31. When she hits that high note in the song Kays cocker spaniel Bill used howl his head off. It was shear hell in the car when that song came on.   Bill. fooling about. circa '79

19. Sorry missed this. In UK at the moment. Hope to go out to Etaples next week for a few days.
20. I would suggest that you fry up a pile of fish and chips.  Get a load of old newspapers. Neatly place the chips on a couple of sheets of newspaper place the fish on top of the chips. Wrap up as many portions as you have guests and serve them on a bare table apart from some of those plastic tomatoes that contain ketchup and salt and vinegar. If you really want to show off you place a pile of plastic forks on the table. You will be the talk of the town.
21. Havent posted for a while. My fav at the moment. Played just recently at my Kay's funeral. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-a_cCBzXRg
22. I dont have a french sim yet. I will eventually get a land line in our apartment. Get the furniture in a couple of weeks time. Its a short term fix I'm looking for. When we visit France with our caravan I get onto the internet via my UK mobile phone and laptop. Works out very expensive at 58p per minute using O2.
23. Can someone give me an indication of the cost per minute using a French Sim card. That is calling a UK 0845 number from a mobile phone in France. O2 cost for doing that is 58p per minute. If this has been mentioned before, sorry ..did a seach and couldnt find anything.
24. No problems with Britline. Just transferred (well actually yesterday) £'s  from my UK Lloyds TSB account to World Wide Currencies online. They convert to euro and trnsfer to my Britline account. No charges anywhere along the chain. Got 1.4550 € per £. Takes about a week from start to finish. Harry
25. My childhood...............oh dear..... On the west coast of Wales and me a cockney lad. (well Camberwell) No electricity, no gas. Water from the well. Loo was a shed with a plank and a hole in it over a stream at the bottom of the garden. (dont eat fish) Bath, once a week in the tub by the fire. No wireless. Papers once a month with those pictures of maps with arrows all over France and Germany. Had to learn welsh at school cos no one spoke english. Gas masks in cardboard boxes. Saw me mum and dad twice over a five year period.  Those were the good old days.
