1. Hi Woody, You should have a list at the left side of the page - you need to click on   'Détail du compte' You then need to move over to the right of your page and click  as shown below.   Affichage en : Liste d'opérations Nature d'opérations     hope this helps
2. Wow Pads that's stunning, is the colouring true. Sometimes my camera 'changes' the colours - and not usually for the better I might add. brilliant photo.
3. Hi all, Hope this is allowed - if not mods please delete. I came across this free download and was so impressed - thought perhaps some of you expert photographers might like to give it a try.   Autostitch™ is the world's first fully automatic 2D image stitcher. Capable of stitching full view panoramas without any user input whatsoever, Autostitch is a breakthrough technology for panoramic photography, VR and visualisation applications. This is the first solution to stitch any panorama completely automatically, whether 1D (horizontal) or 2D (horizontal and vertical). Autostitch is built using cutting edge research from the AI lab at UBC, but it's incredibly simple to use! Just select a set of photos, and Autostitch does the rest: digital photos in, panoramas out. Try the free demo (for Windows): Download the FREE demo version now! http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html
4. All you photos are lovely folks - but wonder why some of them dissappear after a few viewings - anyone know, or is my pc.
5. Yes Katie, She really is gorgeous and if she's just a fraction as michievous as her father (my grandson) was then she will certainly be a handful.
6. Just had to share this gorgeous picture with you all - she is our Great Grandaughter Faith who is 3 months old. We miss our kids, grandchildren and our great grandaughter sooo much but are lucky that we receive regular photos.
7. Pads that's a lovely story and I can fully identify with your feelings - hope you get a massive display of blossom and many apples this year.
8. Thanks verviale for your comments. I agree about the cellar but ours is not being used yet, it needs a new floor as it is just very wet soil at the moment and will probably be the last thing to get renovated - can't wait to be able to put it to it's intended use though. The tree is a hazlenut and was almost out of the ground with most of it's roots exposed when we bought the house so we spent almost a week of our precious 3 week working holiday in 2004 building a wall around it and raising the soil - have to say it was well worth it and it often seems to say 'thank you' for our effort. (I know that's a bit twee but I just love trees). Our neighbours told us it hadn't given any nuts for many years and we are getting better crops each year so it is obviously happier now. We lost an apple tree, half a pear tree (which was completely split down the middle), plus several big limbs off our walnut last year when we had a mini tornado in July - I was more devastated about the garden losses than about the huge holes in our barn roof  - hubby didn't agree with me as he then had to spend many days repairing the roof.
9. I rarely saw a sunset as beautiful as this in the UK - but here we see them regularly.
10. Our little piece of Heaven in the Dordogne - not as grand as many others on here, but we LOVE it.
11.
Mmmm, love the Summer one.  What is that place, someone's little hideout?
Hi all, The lake is owned by one of our neighbours and the hut (which is very dilapidated) is for the fishermen who use the lake - but as you can see by the fact that the chair rarely moves - it doesn't get used often so we can visit whenever our spirits need lifting or just to enjoy the beauty.
12. This is how I have to remember our Walnut tree as it was decimated in the bad storm of July last year - it lost several huge limbs and will probably never look the same again in my lifetime.
13. Oh dear I clicked the HTML code instead of image code - will try again:- hope it works this time
14.  I loved this place in the Summer - didn't think it could be any better <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u262/haventgotone/Summerreflectionsonlake.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a> But looks just as amazing in the Winter <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u262/haventgotone/winterreflectionsonlake-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a> Just a short walk from our house to paradise!
15. WOW! that's fantastic news. Now you can really look forward to a Happy New Year. All the best for your future Val
16. Hi J.R. Some thoughts for you if you do consider taking the kids to Herne Bay. I came from Herne Bay and most things should be open in April and gearing up towards the summer visitors - but suspect that a trip to the main  seaside areas might be difficult with 14 - 18 yr olds as I imagine they would want to make a beeline for the arcades. Hopefully the weather will be kind for you. There is a nice park near the town centre where they could play football to use up some energy (for free) there is a pond, tennis courts and the usual swings and so on. There is also a fish and chip shop a few minutes walk away -  7 euro budget should just about be possible for meal plus a can of pop.   If the seaside is a must, may I suggest that you head for the less commercial  areas - The Downs is beautiful,  mainly residential with a huge expanse of grass leading down to the beach (which is pebbles by the way) Hamption Pier at the other end of town is equally  nice and has plenty of space for them to let off steam and clamber over rocks etc. Hope this is helpful - but have a great time wherever you go. Val
17. Hi all, I struggled with a tea towel the first time I made redcurrant jelly - very messy and a little scary with all that hot liquid! Then my sister-in-law told me that she had used one of those bags for hanging hams when she made her quince jelly.   I'm thinking about trying to make cheese and may try using one of these bags they are sold in supermarkets for a few euros each and seems like a good idea to me. Good luck Val
18. Thanks to everyone who replied - I have now managed to get some of the green chemical from Mr Bricolage in Saint Yriex la Perche (spelling?) Don't know what happened to Sunday Driver and Chas's posts though Val
19. Thanks Fulcrum, Have checked our local Intermarche with no luck - possibly I've looked in the wrong isle - looked where all the cleansers and washing powders are and also in the gardening section. Val
20. Hi everyone, We are currently out of the blue chemical for our porta potti and have searched every shop we visit for another bottle - they all seem to sell the pink deodoriser but not the blue. Please, please does anyone know where we can buy it - we are getting desperate now!!! I wondered if we could use a tiny amount of the stuff you put in the fosse septic - would this work? We live in department 24 near La Coquille Thanks in advance for any help Val
21. Hi Uncle Homer, We had an ancient meter (probably 60 years old) and organised a visit from EDF to supply a devi to replace it in December last year. We were given 2 quotes, one for just replacement meter 116 euros and one for new meter plus new wiring from the road which would be placed underground and would obviously be the better option - but cost was 700 euros - phew!!! Couldn't afford the 700 as we had only moved over here a month before and money was really tight so sent a cheque for116 euro in January which was promptly cashed - they then appeared to forget all about us until I complained and they finally came on 26th April to change it. Not too impressed as the technician has left all the ugly exposed jungle of wires at the top (this was the main reason we wanted the meter replaced)and simply added the new meter below it! Hope this helps Val
22. Hi there, try www.telerabais.com. Calls have to be prefixed with a 10 digit number - but soon get used to that. Calls to UK landline are at local  (French) rate - I think it is 1.4 centimes per minute after 7pm. calls to UK mobiles vary according to the mobile provider you are calling - but maximum of 15 centimes per minute. For calls from UK to France get your friends and family to go to www.bestminutes.co.uk  Been a while since I needed the site as living in France now. Anyway calls are connected the same way by adding a prefix number and cost 1 penny per minute. Hope this is useful
23. Hi everyone, Nice to be back amongst you all. Will asked for confirmation re price and age of vehicle - the link below takes you to a page which shows price and cost relevant to cv. I am gutted as we have to register our 12cv car at a cost of 554 euro and it won't be 10 years old until December this year at which time it would cost just 277 euro. http://www.prefecture-police-paris.interieur.gouv.fr/demarches/carte_grise/cout.htm hope you find this useful
24. Hi Michelle, Congratulations and good luck. We are moving to the Dordogne in 2 weeks (7th November) and one of my first priorities was to get the phone line installed for family contact and of course, the internet. I telephoned France Telecom last Friday and they promised to be at my property between 8 and 10 in the morning of 8th November - amazing!! The cost will be 105 Euros - which includes 50 Euros for the guy who has to put in the new line. Incidentally the person I spoke to also set up my Direct Debit there and then, so another hurdle overcome. What's even more amazing is that they have a number for English speakers - link below. http://www.francetelecom.com/en/tools/others/contactus.html Hope you find this useful
