  1. I have calculated mine laboriously month by month using the rate I got on 1st day of each month with Nationwide.  That eventually averaged out at 1.46 over the year. Suey I'd rather be safe than sorry.
  2. and Pas de Calais (St Pol sur Ternoise area in particular).....! Suey ps a friend of ours told me yesterday that they worked on 1.18....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I take it then that I will receive another letter separately. Thanks Suey

    Vasectomy

Gynocologist (lady) here was well impressed when I told her my OH had had a vasectomy and said how good the British men were to have the op as the French men were very naughty and refused to do so (in general - perhaps not all). Suey
  7. Have not tried Speed Ferries yet - due only to the fact that OH worked at Dover Port and used to call Speed Ferries craft the "Vomit Comet" due to the colour of people when they got off sometimes!! Suey
  8. Thank you Cassis - trouble is I don't have a page 3, just 1 and 2 and lots of blurb on the back!!  This is our first one and it was only for two months of 2006. Suey
  9. We are finding more and more that it is cheaper to use the ferries than our Frequent User tickets with Eurotunnel.  This week hubby went to UK for four days - P and O Ferries £55 return (cost with Eurotunnel £39 each way).  Its a shame that with their great debt Eurotunnel don't want to keep up with the other cross channel companies.  I am not a good traveller on the ferries but when you work out the saving over the year its got to be worth a little discomfort [+o(] Suey
  10. Last year had one of these cages on our garden for six weeks, did not catch anything!!  Kept moving it around where we could see that the rabbit runs were - NOTHING!  Not one pesky rabbit!  And no we were not going to take the bunny on a holiday jaunt to another part of the country - we were going to give it to our friend to put in a pot!  And yes we do live next to a field with hundreds of the little breeders! Suey
  11. Hello is there anyone out there that can help me on this one???!!!  Or have you all gone into melt down? Suey
  12. Well as you can imagine we have plenty of dog hair!!!  Will try that...! ps If I were a rabbit I would not argue with a Ridgeback, cos they like chasing anything small and fluffy....! [6]
  13. I have three dogs, a bitza pedigree heinz 33 varieties, a Border Collie and a Rhodesian Ridgeback - the bunnies just escape through the fence and ignore them!  As for a gun, I think my husband has more chance of shooting himself through the foot!!  Suey
  14. Has anyone had the official line from the Impots in Pas de Calais?  What figure are they using there? Suey [8-)]
  15. Just received mine but can't see fiscal number - where on the form is it for use on this year's tax forms?  There is Numero FIP, Numero de role and No SPI. Many thanks in advance.  Suey
  16. Can anyone suggest some rabbit proof plants - the bunnies in my garden have even eaten my small holly bush!!  They just love pruning my skimmia, my choisya doesn't stand a chance and almost every one of my Thuja Plicata furs have been nibbled and the roots dug.  All I seem to do is spend my time making little wire cages for the plants.  Before we moved permanently to the house I thought they were lovely "fluffy wuffy bunnies" but now I think they little indeterminate parentage bunnies! Thanks in advance Suey

    Tax year

Sorry Benjamin - realised my mistake and have now edited it - doh!!!  Thirty one years as a secretary has not improved my brain to finger (or hand eye) co-ordination!!! Thanks for pointing that out. Suey

    Tax year

You're confused - how do you think I feel - there I was merrily doing all my calculations Jan to Dec for my husbands police pension and my friend tells me that the local Impot has said that she should do hers using the figures on her P60 for her local authority UK pension - has anyone else been told this?
  20. I have just spoken to a friend who is pretty good on this type of thing and she was told by our local Impot to run the tax year for her declaration from April to April in line with her P60 - as that was her proof of income.  Is this correct because I thought it should be Jan to Dec.
  21. Good morning Cowoman! When our dutch friend did us a huge favour I made up a basket of: English Tea, ginger conserve and other nice jams, special mint sauce, luxury biscuits, horseradish sauce, fudge, scottish shortbread and finally luxury bubble bath (just make sure they don't take that the wrong way!!). She thought it was wonderful. Suey
  22. I knew I could rely on you SD for the answer.  Hope you are enjoying the sunny weather. Best wishes Suey
  23. My hubby  was diagnosed with diabetes six months ago.  He has now received a letter informing him of the "100% pour affection de longue duree".  What exactly does this mean in layman's terms?  Does this affect our top up at all?  This subject may have been covered before.   Suey
  24. Does anyone know if this can be used when in Spain or is the limit the french border? Suey ps It worked in the shaded bit by the mirror!!
  25. When our Ridgeback had ear mites she shook her head constantly and scratched her ears, look for redness inside.  Also because she has an indoor cage she caught the tips of her ears on the side and they bled.  Now sorted by the vet thankfully. Suey
