  1. Hi, I am thinking if becoming an agent for Avon in France, I already have a personal brochure, which friends grab at earliest opportunity and put in orders for them. What do you think, good idea or non starter. Not trying to make loads of dosh, realise almost impossible, but with people spead so far and wide, would the logistics make it a non starter. Opinions appreciated.      Sharon...
  2. hi again, when my horse was shipped out here, the company had their own insurance cover, which I would have thought to be a required necessity, but check with them first. As for health cover for your horse, I would have thought if you spoke to a vet in this country, they would point you in the right direction                        regards Sharon.
  3. hello, I have had my horse insured via the local riding school, as he was kept there for a while, but MMA the local insurance company for , cars, houses etc have offered to insure him for me in the future, third party, I think, but will find out more when I go along to them. So I would imagine most local small or large insurance companies would cover your horse for insurance purposes.                                     Sharon.
  4. yes you can. if you email me I can put you in touch with someone who can give you good advice, have had same problem.                             Sharon,
  5. p.s.  forget the cat for now, get dog passport, then your not tied, cats always fit in eventually with the dog, much stronger personalities, at least my cats have.
  6. hi again, sorry for last post, silly mood. I think if you would like a small yappy {at other people } dog , loving to you , likes a walk, often, but not always too far, Shih tzu. never liked them before, until I met poppet, adorable. take it to doggy parlour every couple months, groom inbetween, easy going characture, but will let you know when someone is outside, cannot reach plate on your lap or obscure tv, probably like to sleep next to you on bed though, hardy but small, sure you would fall in love and dog would let you know what it wants, great company.                                           Sharon ..
  7. hi, have you thought about the possibility of having a hamster with a large squeaky wheel to run around in, this will create some noise, much easier for you to look after, and will also give you some company whilst other half away working.
  8. hi, I only found out about the priority to the right last year, the hard way, when somebody inbedded their car into my right rear passenger door, am now very wary of roads on my right.
  9. hi, if you are in France, I am sure that you are able to pay at the post office, or you can buy the eqivilent to a cheque at the post office, not sure what this is called though,   and then post that to the water company.                                             Sharon
  10. hi, my name is dizzy, I am a pot belly pig looking for a new and loving home, I am a little nervous of dogs, but love people and attention, and obviously my food, any really good offers would be gratefully wellcome, as everybody else will be moving to a new home, and although I know they really do love me, there is not enough room for me to be with them, I presently live in the Charante maritime area, so please email or reply if you are interested.                                  Love Dizzy.

  16. hi, I emailed the person direct, and asked him if he had heard this officially, his answer was yes,  and he gave me the mail address for the prefecture, but my french doesn,t really stretch that far, i personally didn,t think i could find where it stated that properties would have their water cut off through the day, but here,s the site for someone who has better french than i.http://www.charente-maritime.pref.gouv.fr/actualite/infos/communique_actu.asp                       Sharon.......
  17. hi, not official, it was from gite owner, who has swimming pool guy, who operates in the charente maritime region, he is going to inform her of specific areas as they are released. I just wondered if anyone else had heard this.
  18. hello, I have just been informed by email today, that the water supply is now so short, that certain communes are having there water turned off, and it will only be on between 22 00hrs and 06 00hrs,  that a water tanker will visit each commune for just two hours each day, that it is the responsiblity of each person to collect their own supply. can someone verify this please.                 Sharon...
  19. I had a problem with trojan swizzor a while ago, had to uninstall messenger, run adware, close down before reinstalling messenger, this did work at the time, but now have same spyware back, and the above system not working this time, I find the anti virus system ,  f secure. v good, you get 6mnth free trial, prefer to norton,                           sharon. p.s. i don,t keep adware installed as i find it can interfere with anti virus software. just download, run and uninstall.
