When he played at Sale it was usually tied back until someone scuffed it up for him. Can't remember him playing at Wharfedale but I do remember playing against Winterbottom on numerous occasions when he was still a sheep farmer.

My sons best mate didn't earlier this year when he was killed by a bull shark on his honeymoon in the Sychelles. This was a week after a French holiday maker was also killed near the same beach.
