I see from Big Dish newsletter, that from the end of this month they will be able to supply/install a satellite system to receive English and French FTA channels, with 1 dish, 1 cable and 1 set top box. several hundred channels from Astra 1 72.

I see it is on offer at Leclerc from tomorrow at about €3,50 Kilo.

If you are happy to view via your PC, then www.playtv.fr/television will give you most channels apart from TF1. No subscription and good quality.

Has anyone got an Epson Stylus DX 4050. Today I am unable to print as two buttons ie the status monitor and the inkcartridge replacement buttons seem to have been disabled? I feel sure a cartridge needs replacement but without these 2 buttons in use I am unable to carry out a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

My Dell has been down to only 1% disc space remaining. As usual have used CCleaner a couple of times and now some 2 weeks later is at 50%, should be around 60 %, probably resolve shortly!

I quite understand the amount is paltry. Don't know what the rate was at cash machines yesterday, but on the surface it would seem that for those who are lucky enough(for the moment) to have transaction free charges they are better off.

The rate yesterday was roughly 1.21,tourist rate 1.18 and HIFX quote 1.16 for a transaction of 1500€. Bizarre!

I have recently bought 2 pairs of glasses from Spex4less. Both on special offer, one a pair of transitions sunglasses.The whole process was very straightforward.Within days of receiving my progressif, semi rimlesss, I was hit over the head by a large branch of the tree, and the glasses were knocked off. I was in a daze, and eventually realised I had dropped them retraced my steps but trod on them in the undergrowth, They were twisted, the glass out etc .explained the situation to the company I then returned the glasses,thinking a new frame would be needed. Returned to me quickly,like new, no charge even for the postage. Will certainly be using again.

I too have a Dell, similar age. From time to time I have the same situation arising.After defragmenting etc, and a couple of reboots it seems to right itself. I had tried removing programmes etc, but it did not seem to make any appreciable difference. I have no technical knowledge, hopefully someone may be able to explain.

There's a lot of these cards about. Main problem is that you have to UK resident to obtain one.

Second that. First class response by the lady I spoke to.The claim itself took 15 weeks rather than the 8 weeks stated in the brochure.

I prefer Humax,but Argos have a Bush for under £50.

Don't know about Annabelle's, bit I see that since the new government took office £17500 has been spent on wine for the foreign office. The bill for 2009/10 was £80662- a reduction of 30% on the previous year. Times are hard!

I just hope those who are abusing the system result in the authorities looking closer at other payments made ie Winter fuel payments. for those of us who supposedly live in permanent sunshine.
