1.
I love skirts and dresses and I rarely wear trousers.
That's not you on the back of that motorbike by any chance?
 2. Here is the link that works http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/8917161/OECD-figures-suggest-Britains-economy-will-slip-back-into-recession-at-the-start-of-next-year.html
Is this a ploy to divert attention from next Wednesday's fight for justice, and the appalling news coming out of the sadly mismanaged  UK economy? It was predictable and predicted. With Boy George and Camerwrong in charge you can't expect any thing else..
That is not the way I read it Norman, perhaps you need to read it again right to the end!
 3. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO http://www.pbase.com/harrisonphoto/image/112362200.jpg YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixeleye/2344839145/in/photostream/
 4. The sick b***ard, I've signed and hope he gets what he deserves!
 5.
Oh dear - what boringly predictable and blinkered responses. I kinda knew they were coming! Looks like you missed the point completely. No wonder CL gave up! canasta
I wonder if Canasta & CL are the same person?
 6. Not had one here either, over 60 and low income. At last a benefit from getting older!
 7.
Yes it does. That's why I wanted to know whether I had to submit my French licence anywhere and/or inform insurance
That was a bit bloody minded for such a minor offence! One point I take it?
 8. A full 8km/hr wow, in proper terms that's nearly 5mph over the limit - they must be short of cash this month! Pay the fine then that's an end to it, at least it was with mine which was very similar. Does it say you have lost a point?
 9.
Steve - no such thing as free banking in France! You'll generally be charged for most services including cards - except for some on-line banks like ING Direct - but no good for non-resident. Credit Agricole Britline would seem to be a great option for you as already suggested. Simply don't understand why you have a problem with them? You don't need a French address and you can withdraw ATM cash anywhere in France without charge - great if you're moving around. Why not arrange your mortgage through them as well? Chiefluvvie
Not often right but wrong again! And for the next advert? Perhaps Crédit Mutuel
 10. Every reader reads more formats than a Kindle. Amazon are trying their best to corner the market. I have a Nook also, excellent machine and you buy books anywhere.
 11.
Not so!!!!! Wife was asked to sign a form which included name, address and to sign that she was over 60 and entitled under the NHS to have a free eye test. Why make a fraudulent declaration for the sake of £22?
Yeah, any old address will do.
 12. Ohhh, not my head please!!! Do you not believe in Santa then? If you read Chancer's post you will see he already sussed the ploy.
 13.
In my case they will have a long wait [:D] When you do go take me along to protect you! How about I change my name to Chieflairy? Lol, how about that.
14.
I remember these too!
Wow you must be really old! ______________________________________________________ Manchester Utd 6 - Manchester City 1
 15.
Norman, I'm saying this only once [:D] When debating please attack the argument, not the poster.
Ohhh, don't you just love a woman with authority, go on get the whip out! Didn't you crib that first sentence from some TV program(me)?
 16. Should have just shown your passport and you would have got the eye test free, that's what we do.
 17. Chancer, I know for a fact (two people  I met in a supermarket told me) that there will be a squad of police and customs officers waiting for you next time you dare to cross the channel.    How dare you put a strain on the NHS by visiting a doctor in the UK? Do you realise you are taking up resources which could be better spent on some illegal immigrant?    The fact is the £20k spent by the police following up your case and the sting operation in Dover when you arrive will be more than compensated for by the publicity on some nondescript forum board in France and the £20 fine you receive. The authorities expect to recoup the money spent within the next 30 years by people not visiting NHS doctors and dentists.    They are also aware that some people over the age of 60 are receiving illegal eye tests by showing their UK passports, this MUST STOP, so if you are considering it make sure you cannot be tracked down and made to pay the ££££ fee.
