1. Puppies are just doing what's natural, they don't automatically know that there is a right and wrong place for it. If by chance they do it outside, then they don't automatically know that they have just done the right thing.  You could give him  a command 'poo now' or something and then plenty of praise and a reward when he does it, just don't punish if he gets it wrong and poops in the house; or he could then become too scared to poo in your presence even in the right place.[:D] Patience and kindness.
2. Take him out after feeding or on waking up. Give a suitable command then a biscuit straight after he does the deed. He'll soon figure it out.
3. If you are due a tax refund, does that (cheque) come at the same time?
4. I only found this one http://www.lindependant.com/articles/2010-07-23/deux-femmes-voilees-privees-de-piscine-219870.php I don't know where the Mail got the bit about the husband threatening the guard with a bowling ball from as it isn't mentioned in the French news [8-)] Whatever did happen, the families continued their holidays at the resort.
5. I went into my space on the impots.gouv.fr website and found it under Tableau previsionnel 2010... You can find the dates for the sending out of the taxe d'hab etc too. I can't find the same detailed information without logging into my account, but if you haven't got one and need to know something specific I'll try and find it for you.
6. The provisional dates for the sending out or availability on line for the avis d'imposition are To be sent by post                      available on line 6 aug                                           2 aug 9 aug                                           5 aug 23 sept                                        27 sept
7.
I don't have a problem with the storey of two Muslim women being thrown out of a swimming pool for wearing the burkini in the water,  in our local pool in France men are not allowed to wear swimming shorts, long or short, only swimming  trunks. And believe you me there are some pretty awful sights with old men in speedos. [:D]
Very true, Nick. Sickening though that the angle of the story in that bloody paper, is to run it as another stick for their rabid readers to beat muslims with.
8.

There's a lot of these cards about. Main problem is that you have to UK resident to obtain one.
Yep,so it seems. How about the nationwide bs, do they allow them to be opened by none UK resident?
No, no UK address, no account. Don't mean to be blunt but you might as well know the bottom line?
I'll cross that one off then. I don't know why it's so hard for a UK national living abroad to change UK bank accounts though. I had no probs opening a french one before I moved here and it's french bureaucracy that's supposed to be a pain.

10.
I dont get your drift re proving credentials, what exactly are you trying to say? Incidents of pédophilia, incest, child abuse, domestic abuse robbery with arms and violence etc etc are reported nearly every week in my local paper and FR3 regional news, my point is those that choose to take the easy route, not learn French and watch/read UK media are completely unaware as to what is going on around them. If this event had happened in France, then we can only speculate as to what would have happened because it didn't. Well there has been no shortage of speculation covering 6 pages now, why not comment on what would happen in France (assuming you are able to)? This is after all a French forum.
I think you assume too much. Do you think you are the only one who has learnt French and watches French tv? Not everyone that uses a English "French" forum sponsored by a UK mag has access to French tv. Not everyone  that lives in France watches French TV all of the time. If you want to start a thread about some hot French news item then why not do so? Personally I thought the poor toddler that drowned recently in his grandparents fosse septique in France was a  real tragedy [:(] but this is about a  gun man on the loose so soon after the Bird rampage and it was rightly big news in the UK where many of us still have an interest. The speculation on the UK event is not all fantasy, a lot of comments have been based on what has been reported and some of what has been reported is in fact, fact. I can't comment on what would happen in France because its completely hypothetical and therefore irrelevant to this very real story.
11. Has anyone used this method for transferring money? http://www.escape-prepaid-card.com/share-money-abroad-for-free.html I'm still reading the website.
12.

Mmmm, but doubt anybody on here would know about it. It'd be on the French news. Ignorance is bliss?
Sadly I think that you are right. 6 pages of discussion about the British media coverage of a British event, most of the posters must have watched it from a Skybox as it hasnt been mentioned on the French TV. I ask some questions on what if this were to have occurred in France and no replies. The reason that it was not mentioned on the french TV is that it was not of significant importance, there are worse things than that going on in France and being reported on almost on a daily basis. How many of you BBC/ITV/Daily mail viewers/readers know about the sexual abuse of children within the family in Gravelines for instance? - The father, mother, 3 uncles and an aunty all condemned for sexual abuse of the children aged from 5 months old. I dont know about ignorance is bliss, scary more like. Editted. I should have said charged not condemned http://www.leparisien.fr/faits-divers/pedophilie-six-arrestations-dans-une-meme-famille-06-05-2010-912190.php
The Moat story has been covered on French news a couple of times although it didn't get the coverage that it received in the UK for obvious reasons. I am sure we can all dig up a French news story to prove our credentials,[;-)] . If this event had happened in France, then we can only speculate as to what would have happened because it didn't.
13. From the same brother who has had nothing to do with him for several years. He may have been mentally ill but under a lot of stress, I'm not so sure. If not being able to accept that your girlfriend has moved on , equates as being the the final straw and thus results in carnage, then this kind of event should be a daily occurence.
14.
His brother said he loved him despite what he'd done, and his Uncle obviously cared, but the police seemed not to want to use these people......perhaps it was too dangerous. We're all different, his brother was obviously a stronger character Also I wonder as he was so much of a nutter why didn't they keep in prison? I'm not saying he was a victim, he was a nasty bully who hit children but neither do I wonder why people are leaving flowers... I bet lots of us all know or have known someone who would be capable of this sort of thing if the cards fell differently
But isn't that what sets us apart, those who try and deal with what life throws at them without bloodshed and those that don't? He lost his life, but whilst his death wasn't inevitable it was a likely outcome when he chose the path that he did on his release from prison, he could have tried to sort his life out without resorting to this, he chose not to. If people (family and close friends) are leaving flowers because they really knew a different man, that is one thing, if people are leaving flowers because they think he is some kind of rebel who got one over on the police no matter who got hurt / killed, then that is a worrying state of affairs. I really hope that the media have not  triggered the seeds of discontent in some other person out there. There was a good article I read this week about how media blanket coverage can cause copy cat attacks and how the press should really be a bit more careful as to what they report and how they report.
15. His brother grew up in the same family and hasn't afaik gone off the rails. This man commenced a relationship with a girl when she was 15 and he in his early 30s. Was this because he hadn't got the mental capacity to have a grown up relationship with women his own age, or for other reasons such as easier to control or mould a young girl into the type of woman he wanted? She ditched him, relationships break down all the time but they don't usually result in murder. The young man who died seems to have been the forgotten victim in all this. Victim does have different connotations to different people and whilst it is possible to give reasons why Moat acted the way he did, I for one cannot condone it. I do share concerns that perhaps by tasering him, it panicked him (especially as the negotiator did say he wouldn't be harmed and there was no one coming behind him, which may not have been untrue at the time he said it but...) and this hopefully will form part of the enquiry. But I never expected him to just give himself up and come quietly, I am just glad no one else was hurt.
16. Too late for this delivery but will look into it for future reference, thanks.
17. The price of the ink cartridges is an important issue to consider . My last printer can't remember the mark, seemed to drink it and they were expensive to replace. I have a canon now ( about 60€ from Amazon, and the ink goes further and the cartridges are cheaper and widely stocked.
18. I have ordered a beddinge sofa bed cover from the IKEA uk site for £40 inc delivery , the same one in France is still €140 [:-))][:@] Ikea UK only deliver to the UK but at that price I can wait until my next visit to pick it up.
19.
Just had a look at their web site and followed the link to their twitter page - they closed down at the end of May.
dang
20. Is it still hot when it gets here? The website doesn't give a lot away in respect of who they are etc other than having an address in UK and one in France, and a google on the uk address throws up a completely different business http://www.charlotte-charlotte.co.uk/about-us.htm and the French one this http://www.mydelhiproperty.com/buckup/directprojectors111/directroprojectors.html ?
21. Doesn't the 4.0 thrashing of Argentina put the performance of England into slightly better context now? At least England scored a goal and they hadn't got Messi the wonderkid.
22. syndrome de l'intestin irritable
23. Suarez was to all intents and purposes in goal, I think he reacted instinctively. Technically cheating  but I hope over moderation doesn't kill football, you win some you lose some and things like this give us something to talk about, and the ghanians did have a penalty. my money is on Germany[:D]
24. Mine was in the cardboard carton with the name of the multi national company emblazoned all over it, not a company renowned for dealing in anything dogdy as far as I know[:)]. No note saying it had been damaged in transit, (as it hadn't) it was just placed in a huge sack. Still the sack will be good for growing spuds in.
