hi wastetech, if you've got anything to do with wte then you know all about biorock. its not listed in j.o. but biorock.de told me when i bought mine that it has the best results of any of the tested stuff and its good for 6 eh. i hope they didn't merde de taureau me.

I'm setting up an all solid fuel setup. But if I already had an oil boiler theres no way I'd get rid of it. Think how usefull it would be on these winter mornings when you're ill or hungover and got no energy for lighting fires. Even if it is a bit uneffiicent.

Yep, make a big hole. The time it takes to get to hire shop etc will be more than the time to make good around a big hole and a lot cheaper too. But maybe not everyones a cheapo like me and it would be fun to try one of those fancy drills.

Quillan, thanks for the informative reply. I was annoyed that after installing cat5 wiring and reading about how its the future as its suitable for data, phone, audio and video etc that there were no tvs with RJ45 sockets or HDMI to RJ45 leads to link everything up. I think you can get fridges with RJ45 sockets though.. Pach, I do just connect the laptop straight to the tv but I'd rather the laptop and external hard drive could just be left on the desk out of the way of my marauding infants and the RJ45 socket behind my tv would atually get some use. I've just been reading about audio over cat5 and that sounds cheaper to set up and I'll get more use out of it than video.

I only bought my big fancy telly a year ago but there is no way at all to connect it to cat5 so I'm leaving all my co-ax in place and installing more in my new house and keeping the cat5 for phone and LAN. Am I wrong? BTW my telly has s-video, hd, scart and all that but I wish I could connect the hd input to my laptops hd output through the LAN without spending a ton..

If you think its nice as it is then don't do anything. It doesn't need anything and theres nothing wrong with old stuff looking old and new stuff looking new. Chamfering corners and planing/sanding is all i did to mine and I think it looks good.

I've had several limestone therefore kinda breathable houses without vmc and have never missed one. there have been extractor fans in the shower rooms which deal well with the steam from showers and "ventilation naturelle" in the kitchen to deal with the old CO. no humidity problems and no interest in fitting all the ducting etc. maybe shoe box bungalows need the extra ventilation.

I believe you can be quite close to a well if you sign an attestation stating the water is not for human consumption. Concrete tanks seem to be standard round here if its fitted by an enterprise, plastic if DIY.
