hoverfrog Posted June 5, 2007 Share Posted June 5, 2007 it's all over the website that they don't charge for using your debit or credit cards abroad at the moment, but I swear the bumf that came with my last flexaccount statement said this was going to change soon - I guess I'll just have to wait for next month's statement to see if I did misread it!I get very similar exchange rates when taking out cash on the debit and credit cards from an ATM - I guess the differences are to with the way and what day they calculate it. If you carry out a transaction using your Debit Card in a currency other than sterling, it will be converted on the date the amount of the transaction is debited from your account, at the wholesale rate of exchange applied by VISA.
