Oil Fired Range cookers that also heat radiators and water

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Looking for information and experience with anyone who has an oil fired or bottle gaz (the big tank type) range cookers that also run central heating and hot water effectively. In the UK this would be a Rayburn or Esse not an Aga; in France there are makes like Godin are there any others we should consider?

We're trying to decide when we create a new kitchen in what is currently a barn whether to change our current oil fired boiler which works perfectly and never gives any trouble, but is huge and needs moving with an all signing all dancing range cooker that either runs off oil or we could possibly look into getting a gas tank fitted instead.

We're in dept 79 and would love to see one working...... and hear anyones experience with them.

I had a rayburn in the UK, & love cooking on this type of oven, but want to consider all options here in France

Thanks for your help

Liz

Oil or bulk gas are the most expensive fuels available.

If you want to invest in equipment that uses these then you will also enjoy the rising prices for fuel which are moving curently at 100% increase every 2.5 years

If you want to consider a more 'greener' approach then the Evacuated tube solar systems have progressed to the point of providing Hot water all year round and space heating if you want.

PM me if you want more details

Andrew
