Rob MPM
HelloWe've had a flat in Nice for a few years but in a few weeks we are to take our first holiday there with a car - the flat's in the old town which just isn't car-friendly, but for one reason or another we decided to take the plunge. So we need somewhere secure and ideally not too expensive to park a car for approx 2 weeks - if possible with the option to come and go as we please for day trips without losing our spot. Do such car parks exist in Nice?? Not being a driver over there, I don't really know where to start...Any suggestions before we go would be greatly appreciated.Rob-------www.monpetitmagasin.com

Frederick
Last time I went ...we left the car behind and used the train ....find a spot just out of town ....and train it in and out...its a good service along the edge of the coast .
Rob MPM
Frederick - that could be an option... can you tell us where in particular you have found along the train route?Rob
WendyG
Suggest you find somewhere secure as the local paper full of reports of cars being broken into. British reg cars are a particular draw. There must be a secure car park somewhere.Good luck!
Frederick
Hi Rob There are stops from the airport side of town right along to Monaco .you would have to explore an out of town location car park you are happy with close to a station...the service should be on the internet timetable if its SNCF and show the stops .....sorry cant give you more information ... auxadrets
Hi Rob,As Frederick says, you need a timetable, so have a look at http://www.ter-sncf.com/paca/V2/index.asp which gives you timetables and routes along the Cote d'Azur. Hope it helps. We've been to Nice by train from La Napoule and by bus from Nice airport. We've never gone all the way by car as the traffic and parking are so horrific especially with the tramway work going on. And on and on.......Angela (83)
