Interesting and some a bit frightening too. Locally, the fans attending the Download Festival are mostly covered in mud but seem to be enjoying themselves.

Yesterday at Portland Bill the sea was boiling, and looked ominous, if not as spectacular as the Mail's, at least. . . I was there![8-|]

If you look at the Wind observation map site (can't do links) you can see the wind is blowing directly off the Atlantic sea onto SW and Welsh coasts - very dramatic and frightening. Could bring very high tides too, perhaps.

Good photos. We used to live in Porthleven and the storms were always very dramatic (and are invariably shown on TV whenever there's bad weather)
