WJT
Lovely photos Pads.Christine, I remember very well that it was because of this thread and your suggestion and with the help of Russethouse, this was the beginning of the photography section. I just can't believe it has been a year ago almost to the day, it has gone by too fast. [blink]My photo was taken near Bergerac. It is actually off of a road so it isn't a particularly beautiful spot but I found the colours of the trees really beautiful and autumnal and decided to pull over and take a photo. Rose
Thanks Pads... It's our first autumn in France and I have been mesmerised by the yellows and oranges in the trees. To be fair though I was in the UK last week and went to visit an old neighbour, driving though the woods where I used to live... it too seemed full of vivid colours! I love to paint - I'm not very good but I enjoy it - so I've been taking lots and lots of photos so that I can have ago later at reproducing them in watercolour! Rose
possibly... but don't hold your breath! Everything is still packed up and waiting for the house to be finished before it can all come out of its box! I'm not sure how popular I would be with the OH if I sit with my brushes for a day or two? [:D]

WJT
Gorgeous PPS!!It was very cold here a few days ago so it appears most of the leaves are finished here. Considering the photos in this thread were taken at the same time last year, it appears to have ended quite early this year.[:(]

Jinty
Thanks for all your lovely comments, here is a photo of Lews Castle, taken whilst on a walk round the castle grounds in summer, I like to look at it now and again just to remind myself that the sun does shine sometimes, here in Stornoway [:P] Jinty

Jinty
Thank you so much, it is a lovely Island to stay on, even when the wind is blowing horizontally in a Gale Force 8, such fun trying to stand up, work can be interesting when that happens. OH laughs when I suddenly take off (mind you, he is very quick to come and help), but finds it so funny, problem is I am only little so find it hard to stay upright. Nope, nothing to do with the wine!! [;-)]Snowing outside now!
