Clair Posted April 17, 2009 Author Share Posted April 17, 2009 True, but so far, the MP has always represented a constituency based in France.The idea is for French expats to have their own MP, representing French expats abroad.Imagine if all the British people living in France could vote for their own MP, who would represent them and their interests in the House... It was discussed years ago but the Foreign Office managed to scotch it as they did not like the idea of someone in the Commons holding them to account for the way they might have treated expats' needs or problems.That is has not already happened is nothing short of political bitchiness.
