Belle
Hi has anyone noticed their tempo box flashing, we first noticed it last evening, all the lights on the box flash for a few seconds and it shows that we are on rouge, as this doesn't usually start till Nov, it all seems abit strange, can edf be playing around. It isn't happening during the day, the box is back on blue.
Quillan
If it wasn't around 20:00 hours that it started flashing (although I have never noticed it before) then you may have a dodgy box.
Belle
Hiya thanks for your reply, we did consider a dodgy box, but wouldn't it do it all day, and not just in the evening
Belle
Just had a thought, it was around 8 'oclock, what does that mean then
Quillan
That is when the box gets it's signal to tell you what colour the next 24 hours will be i.e. red, white or blue.
Frenchie
I'm going to move into a new house soon , the current owners have Tempo, but said they are not sure it is the best solution. Would you recommend it? I know this has been discussed recently, but I didn't fully understand it... [:$]
Quillan
Sorry Frenchie I just did a rather long but informative post on this then the forum threw a wobbly when I went to post it, it lost the lot and I cant be bothered to redo it.You can find tariff rates HERE and look at the current 'day' colour HERE. As a working example I have put my meter readings in to a table so you can compare prices. If you work and are not around during the day during the week then it a reasonable cheap system but you will need a backup for red days (wood and 'petrol'). It works for us because we are a B&B and use most of our electricity in the summer (believe it or not). Prices are of course in Euros. Mr Tivoli Blue
That's interestingSo if we are not resident between November to March we will miss all the red days. And as we only manage to spend a maximum of 5 weeks in summer it Could that be cheaper than option base.[:)]
Nimportequoi
I didn't think Tempo contract was available anymore (except to those of us who already have it).

krusty
When we bought our house in 2006 the previous owners had Tempo , but when we asked for it to remain for us , EDF told us no new contacts allowed on Tempo ?
