Chancer Posted May 12, 2015 Share Posted May 12, 2015 The working end or fuse is inert, I use them as paperweights or ornaments.A complete shell case with the fuse attached however is an unexploded bomb, walk for no more than 20 minutes in the countryside around here and you will come across them left at the side of the path/road/field waiting for the démineurs to collect them,.They always build up in May, July and August because of the reluctance of the French to work during those months even if they are not on Holiday.
