No, I don't mean those birds, so no curry and a babycham answers please....[:)] I have rigged up a table at the window and so far have tried Sunflower seeds, bread crumbs, chopped mixed dried fruit, so far only a family of Great Tits has been brave enough or tempted and they only take the sunflower seeds. I know that I have others arouns including a couple of Redstarts, so what do I need to offer them to bring them to my table? OK go on then, daft answers too!

Redstarts come to us each winter and strip any remaining apples from our trees, and munch all the windfalls; they rarely touch anything else from the feeders, or the garden.

We buy sunflower seed hearts, I think they're called - not whole ones with seed covers. Nuthatches, robins etc are very keen on them, besides the more usual great, blue and long-tailed tits.
