Weedon
From my view of it they came from an animal that ran around in circles judging by the different sizes?
Thinlizzy
Just had to add to this thread...I had 2 of my home-reared lambs slaughtered last week and had a few chops at the weekend. Absolutely delicious and tastes nothing like the stuff you buy in the shops. Last year I felt very uncomfortable about the whole 'eating your own animals' idea but knowing that they have had 5 acres of untreated grass to munch on and had a good life, I've changed my attitude. It also helps that the abattoir is only 20 minutes away so I know they're not too stressed in their final moments. The other 3 lambs are being slaughtered at the end of August and will be sold on via the abattoir - the 2 in the frezer will last us for quite a while.Mint sauce anyone....?
